I get Boots of Travel after Midas and Radiance. Then I get Yasha and Lothar's to run across the map and farm everything. It's called the 1000+ GPM build.
|
Its called the Merlini build. Boots of Travel first on every hero. Every hero.

It's what people do when you always tell them to carry a TP scroll, they'll just eventually buy BoT's 'cause they don't have to listen to their team's 'advice'.

After radiance and midas, fine (even just one of the two). But getting them first doesn't seem efficient at all.

I was referring to going BoTs before midas/radiance...

Hi, i have a technical issue: The last few days, when i want to play, sometimes the loading screen is infinite long and i cant get into the game, i am playing together with a friend and he has the exact same problem at exact the same time.
We play for example 2 games and then cant join another, cant host a lobby, cant join as spectator cant do anything, in the most cases it workes the next day, but it is kind of strange, because i read some forums and there were no posts regarding this problem. I think the problem cant lay on my side, because we are getting it at the exact same times.
Has anybody else the same prob or does know how to fix it?^
Edit: I can instantly test if i have the problem: if i can minimize instantly in the loading screen it will never end, and i can get back to the main menu using the key for opening the console.
Edit2: We are in the same network, and the problem can only be there, but i dont understand how it can work some times, and not other times.

is it a wireless network? check to see if you lose connection during that time. i've only had that problem when i accidentally pressed the wireless button on my laptop why the hell is that even a button.

Thanks, i think i have found the problem: "It's simple. It's the packet flood. Some routers are designed in the hardware to "protect" your computer against a malicious attack (which it has determined to match the arrival flood from/to the Dota servers).
It may be on your router, or even your ISP's equipment. Could be your school's router. Point is, there is nothing you can do about it. It's mostly a bug in the client/server protocol."
We are in a student dormitory and i have send a mail to the network admins, i hope they can fix it.

Yes, there are unbelievably strong heroes and very good team synergies that either don't exist in Captain's Mode or are banned out with a few key heroes. If you don't want to go up against DS/Drow/Centaur, etc. etc. then don't play All Pick! There are three other modes out there specifically for you, and I play them almost exclusively because there is such variety in heroes.
Complaining about "tryhard" lineups when you queue for All Pick is like playing MTG and complaining about some sick combo you didn't think of when building your Legacy/Vintage deck. It's in the format, deal with it. If you want to be able to pick the hero you want every game, others will be able to do so as well. It's more similiar to someone bringing a combo deck containing four black lotuses to the kitchen table. Something can be a dick move even though it's technically allowed. I don't know if you're using some kind of MTG slang, but I don't see how "the kitchen table" serves as an analogy for a global, ranked and automated matchmaking system - wouldn't that be private games? Within the aforementioned system, the idea of condemning actions that are entirely allowed and easily engaged in seems unwarranted, considering there are several easy ways to avoid it.

Black Lotus refers to one of the 9 strongest cards in MTG, you got that correct. It is not allowed to have more than 1 in your deck, and even then only in very special tournaments(Vintage). And the comparison with the sick combo...those usually get nerfed into oblivion, think Morphling(which incidentally is based on a MTG card if I'm not mistaken) nerfed.
On the tryhards: I hate losing against lineups that are obviously built with a strategy behind them, because my team had to pick 4 carries. It's just not fun if you KNOW you're going to lose.
