And a new website you can find here. I saw this at TI3 and really liked it and am looking forward to seeing it again, as well as showing to my friends to give them some idea of what I do when I go places. It's apparently going to be free to stream starting March 19 in addition to being at the Castro Theater in San Francisco if you're in that area. Or want to travel to SF to watch a movie.
The release will also have an item pack.
The Free to Play Competitor's Pack will also be available for purchase on Steam and the Dota 2 Store on March 19th, 2014. 25% of the sales will be distributed to the players featured in the film as well as the contributors. The Free to Play Pack will include the following:
Fear's Sven Set - Created by Jeremy Klein, Ziedrich
hyhy's Doom Set - Created by Vermillion Wlad
Dendi’s Pudge Set – Created by Danidem, Bronto ϟ Thunder

It has the Dota icon right next to it! Maybe I'll add the word movie into the title.
I heard this is a slightly extended cut from what was shown at TI3 and has new scenes but I no longer remember where I saw that or if it was legit.

not sure, you know how long the version shown at ti3 was? cuz the movie theater says the showing is from ~8 to ~11
Hopefully they had some followup last year or this year even so you can see where they are today. Fear still tryin, Hyhy returning and Dendi being Dendi.
HYPE HYPE HYPE HYPE HYPE Gosh... How much is the movie and set going to cost? Balanar slamming Oblivion was great~ :o Will they have implemented TI3 footage?
Can't wait! I wonder what took them so long unless they will include some TI3 stuff (Is movie making really that time consuming?). Nice that they are releasing some items with it to support players.

Not Valve, Icefrog and his crew. Valve did nothing in the past, does not really a damn thing for their other titles. To be serious, if I look at other Valve products they act like EA

You're a troll, right?
You either know nothing about Valve, or nothing about EA. Unless we're talking about Valve's distribution and marketing, which is often handled by EA, but somehow I get the idea you're not talking about that.
People from Valve made the documentary. Icefrog's "crew" are Valve, more specifically, Icefrog is part of Valve. Unless we're talking about beta testers, which have nothing to do with this documentary.
Most of the things in Dota which aren't balance related are things which are iterations from previous systems which existed before Icefrog was at Valve.
Looking forward to watching this, wasn't impressed at all with Sons of Starcraft... This seems to be the documentary we deserve. Everything done right, even the players featured will benefit <3
