What is spending $250 on a few pieces of gear to you? Quadfecta on the follower? Sure! Wutt?? No way annual dividend is worth ~1/5 of the total share value lol. Company like ATVI only pay back a few 20-30 cents at most I believe. $900k is way too much man.

So he probably already had a shit ton of that too... That is, imagine everyday life as a Saudi oil prince or a trustfund kid or something. Infinite money, no responsibilities. You'd be bored all the time, and probably would get really sucked into a game. When we were all in our super heavy gaming phases (some may still be ofc), 5-10 hours a day isn't out of the ordinary at all. Then consider how expensive even something as simple as a WoW subscription is when compared to net monthly income. For example, say you work at Caribou and make about $450 a paycheck or $900 a month. Your rent is probably around $500, food and gas another $300. That's only $100 discretionary income a month- more than 10% of that going to a game subscription. It didn't really matter tho, because it was such a huge chunk of your world, and other entertainment would be more expensive anyway. So, if we consider the time/emotional attachment this guy probably has to the game vs. his income, it's probably cheaper for him to just buy every item than it is for the rest of us to even buy the game itself.

I heard long time ago of "idiots" paying 5000 euro for some Lineage jewelry (~3 items) but 7500 for 1 item is beyond my understading. There is no PvP in D3 so that weapon so far gives nothing except owning mobs and you can own mobs with 50-100 euro worth of item. Echoing fury goes on your offhand, the fear doesnt proc when its on your offhand (due to tornados that is).

These people will sit down at tables where the blinds are $5000/10000 constantly reloading till they have won or lost millions. Just for fun. So really, if you think some rich guy spending $7500 on something for pleasure is crazy, there is much bigger and crazier examples. Just because it would mean a shit load to people like me and many others, doesn't mean it matters in the slightest for some.

Enough to pay for a few decades of WoW sub, but I was still too cheap to keep my annual pass valid lol -_-
