So it seems there are some crazy rich guys out there who can spend 7500 euro on a single diablo 3 item, item in question, an echoing fury with 1300 dps, 100% crit + socket.
Also taken from reddedit:
This Echoing Fury - http://i.imgur.com/vN3rr.png - was recently sniped from the RMAH for 250 euro, and is now going to the highest bidder on d2jsp.
http://forums.d2jsp.org/topic.php?t=65489160&f=191
It'll be interesting to see the finale sale on it.
If you're interested yourself in topping the price, apparantly the seller is bursel#2432 (http://www.diabloprogress.com/item/19410870)
Edit: bid is now on 7500 Euro.
Edit: The seller has gotten bids ranging from 3000 euro, 5000 euro, up to 7500 euro. He doesn't believe he'll get much higher than 7500 euro and is considering to sell it for that amount. What will he do with the money? "buy some more gear"
Edit: The guy who originally found the weapon and put it on the RMAH for 250 euro had rent to pay. I don't think he'll ever forget the mistake of not waiting if he hears how much its going to sell for. Hoooly shit, I feel like vomiting on behalf of this guy.
Edit: Rumor has it it was sold for 40 billion gold (12400 euro), though the buyer and the mods of his stream says it was bought for 7500 euro.
Another discussion thread here: http://www.reddit.com/r/Diablo/comments/141ut0/that_echoing_fury_from_yesterday_it_sold_for_over/.
Final Edit: Guy who bought it is streaming here http://www.twitch.tv/hieven
I would never ever buy an item for such an amount but im seriously thinking of investing 250 euro and snipe items like this from the RMAH so I can sell them after for such an amount of euros. Guy who sold it must be the happiest man.
PS: Do you think it would be right for blizzard to perma ban his account for buying an item outside the RMAH? Because lots of jealous people out there say they will email blizzard about this to ban him.

I couldnt find it. Also I believe this should be posted in Diablo 3 as a seperate thread since Whats ur item worth is an irrelevant thread to post this on. But ye, let the mods decide :/

How does one complete a transaction like this ? Or even trade more than 2 billion gold ? :o
|
This would not even make sense to me if D3 was one of the greatest games of all time and had PvP.
|
holy shit that is one epic weapon
|
And it's not even level 63...

That fear on hit is annoying tbh. Eh 7500 euro?.... Can someone please explain to me what the point of rmah is if the cap is at 250 euro and people still use 3rd party sites?
Also, pay2win pvp is inevitable - which is probably why they keep pushing the date of releasing pvp in d3 ahead all the time :D

I don't get it..what does make this weapon so great? The 0,25 attacks?
My barb wears a ~1320 dps, 448 str, 179 crit Skorn for 15m and just by the looks of it, I think it's better. So I guess it must be the extra attacks?
edit: D'oh, it's 1-handed. Nevermind.

Anyway, dual wield is much better for sprint-WW and echoing fury is BiS since the bonus attacks per second applies to the offhand too.

Zzzz what is wrong with this world..

Just imagine how expensive pvp optimized gear will be sold for. Can't understand people that pay 20k dollar for an item that drops twice a year, just because it is godlike in pvp. But scary that an pvm item was sold for that much lol.

I keep Blizz balance specifically to flip RMAH since many times there is a gap between AHs to take advantage if either way. Problem is it takes too muh time and the market value channels so fast that its pretty boring and lost the fun factor after so many months.
Kudos to the guy for recognizing under valued $250 listing. Usually those are complete garbage heh.

Well, at least there's enough interest remaining in this game to warrant someone paying that much for an in-game item.

The thing is that the +0.25 applies to your other weapon aswell, so if you have a sword on your other hand your sword will be 1.65 instead of 1.4. I believe this is something a lot of people don't actually know, not to forget that it's a black weapon so all those % damage increases apply to it aswell(zunimassa boots 8% poison damage for example), making echo pretty much the best weapon in the game if you don't mind the fear proc.

I just realized an indian family making 43 dollars a month could live 14,5 years of that item. How twisted is the world if you think about that?
|
Well if it's your dream to become the best geared player in an almost dead game, I don't see why you wouldn't spend that money.
