It's more a sarcastic response to everyone saying they hope foreign teams will get a big sponsor like that one day, when Intel is already in the same league as Coca Cola in terms of market cap, and Coca Cola sponsoring IM not being THAT surprising given that GSL was sponsored by them already, and that in Korea, the amount of non-tech sponsors is quite large (Shinhan Bank, Korean Air etc.) Grats to IM though, an excellent team that deserves excellent sponsors. I think as foreign teams prove their worth, the sponsors will come naturally. Hence why MouseSports and EG have such great sponsors. Proven teams with proven players. Sponsors usually want to be associated with the best. Makes sense right?

Guess I didn't catch that, there are so many people around who'd have been for real with that statement... ![]() Anyway, there are also those personal sponsorships at MLG, don't know about Stride Gum but Sony Ericsson is quite the company ![]() For the moment I'm more excited about companies like Coca Cola investing in e-sports than Intel for example, because it's a rather new thing, Intel is all over the place already.
