On top of that, she's unprofessional and deplorable with gems like "fuckslits". I mean, I don't want to be vulgar, but come on... naming your blog fuckslits? Not to attack her personally, but it's pathetic and it's the type of thing that will get you dismissed from any job. I really have been behind GomTV at every turn so far as what they've done to improve their service, and I gave Kelly the benefit of the doubt at first, but I don't think she belongs on such a huge scene. It's bad for business. To be honest, the response from the community has been so overwhelmingly opposed to her that I doubt she'll be here for another season. It's not hard to tell that even Tasteless is struggling to put up with her and salvage her mistakes. | ||

It's bad for business. completely agree, when i heard she was chosen i though it was a joke, her commentary is so unentertaining and uninformed. tastosis have both been on the scene for so long, you can trust their commentary. i trust nothing she says. | ||

Imagine your prospective college/company digging out everything that you have done and rejecting you for that. Chill people. This is not only an Asian or an incomprehensible person we are dealing with. This is another human being. | ||

That's a really good point. Between the difficulty in understanding her, the painful "colour commentary" she's hacking off of Tasteless, and the completely irrelevant/obvious/blatantly wrong things she says when you DO understand her she's just noise that I'm trying to filter out until Tasteless talks again. EDIT for the above poster: Yes, I know she's another human being. I'm going to be critical where criticism is due. I feel like she's miserable at her job, and it's deteriorating my enjoyment of something I paid money for. Having feelings doesn't excuse you from being bad at your job. She's not having things deep from her past "dug up" to come haunt her, her blog is current and updated. | ||

First of all, people really should open up a bit to different accents, there is a reason why this world has a lot of different languages and accents, after all. Second: Tasteless/Artosis was pretty bad at the first few days, they could not balance out the making fun of player's names parts and the game analysis parts. Kelly will become better in a few weeks, her talk speed will slow down a little, and everything will be alright. //By the way, when I got out of the high school, I expected that people will grow up at that point, but no, they seemed to move on to making fun of people they have never met on the internet. We know her game insight is lacking, so when she starts saying things like "the zerg could have held with spinecrawlers" it's instantly taken as wrong. At least she could learn to ask questions instead of giving insight. If she asks, "Tasteless, what could the zerg have done to hold that?" at least it educates her and educates the viewer - rather than outright offering insight. She should basically act like a newbie and ask newbie questions rather than acting knowledgeable and being outright wrong a lot of the time. While it forces more work onto Tasteless/Artosis (which is what we're trying to avoid) it'll generate less hate. Plus the newbies who are tuning in to hear a female caster will probably be able to relate with her more. | ||

I still want to let her work on it for the sake of getting more casters good. The people that can't understand her just really have no language skills. That is not the main argument here imo. I think nobody can argue that it wouldn't be possible to get a better caster, but it is clearly an economic issue as this is the result. GOM didn't exactly hand out benefits and perks with the job. They want people to basicly pay for everything them selves with a semi-crappy salary. | ||

Good job... //Im not making "fun" of her. im paying for a service and complaining about the drop in quality of that service. if there was an option to turn her mic off, i would. I have nothing against the girl, im sure she's loverly and a wonderful person, and i think its great to have women involved in e-sports. Im annoyed with the decision to hire her. One of the things that drew me into watching competitive Starcraft is the fact that those who commentate the game are witty, smart, informed and experienced and she is none of these things. If i hear her say "hes like... (insert horrible witless unit impersonation)" one more time im going to cry. I think for her first night, she might have done well to just chill a bit more, let tasteless take the lead and get a feel for the whole thing. I feel like he cant even get a word in. | ||

I for one am not going to buy the season tickets this month, and I'm not going to view code A at all tbh. I'll just check on liquibet to see who won. Last season I watched every game, no matter who played, but that was only because the casting was so awesome that I could watch paint dry and still get excited. I think this is the only viable way to have her last a season without growing this into a 500 page thread filled with complaints about her lack of anything a caster should have. Replace her asap after the season though. Also I doubt she would run with that, as even at her first day she's trying to take up more space than the original caster. Also people taking offence, and thinking the complaints are revolving her being Asian or anything... please read the thread, and see what the complaints are about. This is not some kind of Asian bashing or anything of the sorts. They're not even about her as a person. The problem that most people have, is to understand why she was hired. I suppose the conclusion is that she was the only one who applied. | ||
