Trevor "Torch" Houston and his girlfriend, Rachel "Seltzer" Quirico, went back to Korea after GSL 3 qualification before christmas. During their stay, they made a lot of footage about GSL, the commentators, and the foreigners on Youtube. Fortunately for us, Torch still had some content left and managed to make a montage of the StarTale house.
someday i will move to korea and eat nothing but pancakes and play sc2 all day mmmm, only thing i'd be worried about is the language barrier and finding a job to support myself over ther

mod edit: link taken out as per desrow's request. ripped the file and reuploaded it here. If this is for some reason not allowed just poke me and i remove it instantly.
Gotta love blocked videos because some multinational company dont want to distribute the content on certain countries. Like a video os StarTale house would brake their 2011 revenue in several hundred million dollares...seriously lol.
Thanks anyway, guess im gonna watch something else.

I appreciate the effort, but the download speed is awful.
the house looks really cool and it seems everyone is having a great time. i didn't like the music or the first half of the video where they tried to make it some music-video style clip. that was pretty poorly done and accomplished almost nothing but filling time in the video. its not really informative and only slightly entertaining. hope to see more pro gamer houses though, it looks quite neat, clean, efficient and spacious. glad to get a view regardless.

I'm sorry, but what does it matter?
People who download the mediafire will spread the word to their friends and if everything is taken care of by then, then you will get more views...

I'd love to, it would be a nerd fantasy of mine. The community, the collaborations, the epic games and the team spirit. But alas, I am engaged and heading down the path of schooling and career. My only hope left is to get my fiance to play SC2 so she and I can join/create a team and travel the world together. Seems like a reasonable goal, doesn't it? Besides I work as a Web Developer and can take my work with me!
Very interesting video and blog. I was surprised at how inexpensive it is to live there after the plane ticket of course. I guess I'm just used to American prices haha.
If torch has a graduate degree in engineering, his opportunity cost is quite high. Don't think it is worth it, in purely financial terms for him to be in korea.
not really lags like hell (cut out 5-6x in 20s) and i don't even think you can let it buffer. i tried but it didn't seem to help. and no my 30 mbit connection is fine.
just rehost it on youtube and don't post the link on facebook or, don't use sony's soundtrack ^_^

Nevertheless, best of luck to you sir.
Yes, because he went to Korea for financial gain ...
I love watching these videos of the "behind the scenes" of the pros. It would be awesome if there were more of these and we could create a thread archiving all these types of videos.

I hope I don't get warned for bumping this since I don't see a warning for past expiration date, but I figure people may want to take a glimpse at the Startale House in a montage.

Those living conditions look downright awful compared to some of the BW progaming houses. Maybe it is just footage didn't show every room, but the place seemed extremely small for the amount of people living there.
-Use some vegetable/cooking oil to lubricate the pan (not butter - it burns at too low of a temperature). -Cook for more time on a lower heat. This will result in a more evenly cooked pancake, whereas if you just "flash" cook it at very high heats it might not be as done in the middle. -if you've lubricated the pan well enough, you can actually flip the pancake. you'll know it's ready to flip once you do like 3-4 of them.
I don't see why people think the living conditions are bad. What do you need extra space for? These players are either going to be sitting at their computer, sitting at the dinner table, sleeping or using the bathroom. Extra space just means more walking in between those things.
Every time Ive seen a professional sports team hat its been My CHicago White Sox, which is pretty awesome. LOL @ Julyzerg the great Buddha awakens from his slumber
Hmmmmm, is there a possibility to release the video without a song that Sony blocks in several countries due to copyright claims? It would very much appreciated. This thread has made me curious to see what the video shows
Hey guys, sorry about the copyright issues. You can check justin.tv for a choppy version of the vid for now. We will also be doing many more videos like this and better, so stay tuned, this was just a first attempt
