It's hard to overcome this mentality and cheer for a guy who used to be one of the laughing stocks of BW. My brain just has trouble accepting the fact that he's actually good.

Sad to see Maka go for this season, though. I was rooting for him and Nestea.

IdrA was arguably going to be a lifetime B teamer in BW, but now he's generally regarded as being one of the best SC2 players. Can you not accept the fact that IdrA is an elite SC2 pro? From the various LR threads I've read that have Nestea playing, he seems to get a lot of random hate from "veterans" on this forum. I just don't get it. Not to derail. Thanks as always for the great translations CanucksJC.

A. It should be fine as I beat the first open season chamption TSL_FruitDealer too. NesTea is way better than Fruit in ZvZ. He's gonna demolish Zenio once again. I don't think NesTea has lost a single map to another Zerg in a pro game yet.

But if you look back at the way people played brood war originally, it is so "bad" compared to today's standard. Once bigger maps come into rotation non-ex BW progamers will probably fall from grace, and new kids like Leenock will come into existance over idra. Remember most BW progamers are like 17-20. I think eventually idra and others might fall back into the back of the "elites" rather than be considered one of the very top as new generation comes up Probably like a Violet to make a brood war comparison. People know him and respect he can be good but not considered to be close to top. Very nice interviews! Thanks for the translations

It's just unconscious cainophobia (fear of newness or change), if people are taught something or come to realize something for quite some time and then suddenly that reality changes, it can be hard for people to accept it, but this is just unconscious thinking so it's really no one's fault for thinking or saying things like it. thing thing
