One year after its founding, DES caught up with Flash and Jaedong for a “Super Feature” interview. In the blink of an eye, a year has passed, and we're now at 2 years. We were racking our brains for who to do a “Super Feature” on this time when SKT came calling.
“Get Bisu and Best. It'll be fun. Everybody knows the mood between Bisu and Best is very awkward, but with an interview you can find out if this is just a misunderstanding. Wouldn't that be something?”
We thought about it. These two protosses have been labeled as “BB” by everyone, but what have they really done together? Getting them for a 2 year anniversary feature would definitely be interesting.
At the start, we didn't really know the mood between the two was awkward, but when doing some research in preparation for the “Super Feature,” our reporters dug up old photos and found that the two of them always seemed unnatural together for some reason. However, if the atmosphere between Bisu and Best were really that awkward, the interview would be tough. So our reporter didn't hesitate to start praying.
Alas, there was some degree of truth to it. Our reporter sat down naturally at the cafe, but the two players couldn't conceal their impatience. This was definitely a first for an interview, but at last we understood the strange atmosphere. By the end, the two players were talking much more freely.
Even though Bisu and Best had an odd atmosphere, they still had a lot to say, so let's dive into the “Super Feature.”
Awkward? Not really.
To start, I'm really glad I could catch up with you for the “Super Feature.”
▲Best: Aww, why'd you have to interview me while I'm losing? You should have waited for me to start playing well (haha).
▲Bisu: Same here, doing this interview after I get eliminated from the OSL is pretty embarassing (haha). But this is DES' 2 year anniversary, so we'll be sincere.

The main reason we chose to interview you two is because of some talk that the relationship between you two is fairly awkward. Is it true?
▲Best: I don't know who said it, but it's a misunderstanding. A misunderstanding!
▲Bisu: They're definitely joking. I hear that from the fans a lot, but it's not true.
▲Best: It's probably because we used to be roommates and chat often, but now we don't live in the same room or floor. We don't have as many chances to talk, so I guess people are saying we seem less familiar. Anyone could really say that. In practice, we sit next to each other, but everybody's working hard, so there's no real time for us to make small talk.
▲Bisu: I am NOT awkward. No matter who asks, that'll be my answer and I'll say it with confidence (haha).
So are you two close? For example, do you two go out shopping or eating together?
▲Bisu: In the practice house, the house's owner makes all our food for us. Why would we go out to eat? (haha)
▲Best: We only go out during break times, so we never go shopping together. (haha)
That still sounds awkward.
▲Bisu: I have digestion issues, so I don't eat midnight snacks. I think Best is the same way.
▲Best: Yup. At most, I'd go to the nearby convenience store and get something. It's not because it's awkward that I don't go out to eat.
▲Bisu: But to tell the truth we haven't gone out much. (haha) I don't know if it's because I can't think of anything or if there really isn't anything to do.
Bisu, Best, talk about some of your first impressions.
What were your first impressions of each other when you first met?
▲Best: Pretty good. (haha) After an outstanding player arrived, I learned a lot. Bisu had earned several championships before, so I was pretty awestruck. It was like meeting a famous actor (haha). On top of that, when Bisu arrived our team wasn't doing well. I felt like we could renew ourselves at that time.
▲Bisu: Alright, I remember now. I had just greeted everyone and I was assigned a room with Best and current assistant coach Bul_T. Best asked me where I wanted to sleep, and I said next to the window. Best said, “Next to the window is bad for you.” (haha) But if I had slept in the middle, I would have rolled down, so I picked the window spot. Only later did I realize that Best wanted the window to himself (haha). I could tell immediately that Best would respect my wish, so I want to thank him.
▲Best: Wow, you remember it so clearly. I can't remember any of that (haha).

How about your first impressions on appearance?
▲Best: Gah, this question is killer. (haha) I'd always thought Bisu was very handsome, and when I met him, I discovered that was really true! (haha) I think he's the most handsome progamer.
▲Bisu: Hearing that makes me embarrassed (haha). I have no idea where people are looking when they call me handsome.
▲Best: Well, his face is nice overall. There are people who have nice looking individual facial features, but the whole is less than the sum of the parts. Bisu's not like that – his facial composition is outstanding. Compared to him, I'm not nearly as handsome.
Bisu, do you think Best has changed a lot?
▲Bisu: Of course he's different (haha). Loving exercise and caring for his appearance has made him much more handsome. His build and height are better, so he has all the features men hope for. I don't exercise at all, so I have a lot of belly fat (haha). I actually exercised more before, but now that I'm more tired I don't. (haha) At most, I might stretch my waist.
▲Best: I don't exercise much either. Even if I did, I wouldn't grow any muscle. (haha)

Bisu and Best, who sincerely swear they are not awkward. But how does each one see the other?
At this point in time, coach Doctor.K showed up! He started revealing things about the two, leaving them dumbstruck. Finally, they said in unison to Doctor.K, “Please treat us to a meal!” Strangely enough, it seems these two are very much in sync when resisting the coach. So how do they see each other?
Bisu, Best, do you have anything to say to each other?
When you two chat, what do you chat about?
▲Bisu: Just SC. (haha) We don't discuss personal things much, and I'm not especially talkative (haha).
▲Best: I guess we are trying to respect each other's privacies.
▲Bisu: I am an idiot who knows only about gaming, so there is nothing private to talk about to begin with.
▲Best: Progamers just talk about gaming, what more would you want? (haha) [T/N thanks phosphorylation]
So who are you two closest with in the team?
▲Bisu: Nobody. I play alone. (haha).
▲Best: Same here. (haha)
People say you two are becoming more and more alike. What do you think?
▲Bisu: I'll admit, there's truth to it. I find myself imitating some of Best's habits For example, acting like a whiny girl? (haha) [T/N no direct translation possible]. I'm also learning a lot about gaming.
▲Best: Why do you say weird things like that? There's nothing to learn from me! Starting with the worker split, I've been learning everything from Bisu. When the almighty Bisu came to our team, I was still a no-name rookie, isn't it clear who learned from who?

Are there characteristics of the other person which you just can't understand?
▲Bisu: Best has no shortcomings.
▲Best: I do NOT get Bisu's PvZ. How he ends those games, I'll never know. (haha)
And the characteristic that most satisfies you?
▲Bisu: Best will often sit down and help me with little problems. Not long ago, my internet kept having trouble, so Best went on Naver and searched tirelessly for a solution. Even though he didn't succeed in the end, he'll always help me out.
▲Best: Thanks to Bisu, I've had phone calls with famous actors before! (haha) It's really nice. But don't misunderstand – I'm talking about male actors (haha).
Do you two have any quirks that the public doesn't know about?
▲Best: I'm very weak to heat. Before, when I was living with Doctor.K and Bisu, I would always wake up to find that I was sleeping horizontally. Even funnier is that my feet would always end up next to Bisu's face. It was hilarious.
▲Bisu: I guess Best was feeling hot, so he wanted to stick next to the bed's wooden frame. Waking up and seeing Best's feet kicking in front of my face, you have no idea how funny that was.
When resisting the coach, it seems that you two were very synchronized. Is this always true?
▲Best: Definitely NOT!
▲Bisu: It's not true!
▲Doctor.K: They're really disobedient. For example, whenever we held race conferences, they'd always say “Coach, I'm thirsty, let us drink coffee!” God knows how much coffee I bought for them.
▲Bisu, ▲Best (simultaneously): You only bought it for us once, why are you wording it like that?
Doctor.K: How is it one time? I've already bought it for you guys three times THIS MONTH!

The unity of Bisu and Best
▲Doctor.K: These guys have salaries which are multiples of mine, but somehow they're more stingy.
▲Best: Not really, we've invited you drinking before. When I win, it's great.
▲Doctor.K: When he wins, he ends up asking me to thank him and take the tab. Every time he wins, he'll say “I played well, please take me out to eat this and this and this...” shameless.
▲Bisu: What? We don't do that!
▲Best: Our country respects seniority. So the seniors should buy the food.
▲Doctor.K: You ask Paralyze to get you food every day!
▲Best: I wouldn't take advantage of the younger players!
▲Bisu: It looks like when the assistant coach treats us to a meal is when we are the most in unison (haha). I think that no matter who does well, the coach should treat us to a meal. [T/N Thanks amethyst]

Doctor.K seems really pitiful... moving on! Do you two change appearances drastically when on camera?
▲Bisu: No real differences. Best can talk smoothly on TV; it makes him seem very outgoing and lively.
▲Best: Bisu can talk a lot too (haha). I'm like a foolish kid (haha).
▲Doctor.K: They're like this all the time (haha).
Talk for a moment about each other's weaknesses: PvT for Bisu and PvZ for Best.
▲Bisu: In practice, Best's PvZ is pretty good, but when playing his matches he doesn't seem to have good corsair control, and he makes a lot of mistakes. Slipping up a lot in PvZ leads to a disadvantage.
▲Best: In practice, Bisu's PvT is definitely better than mine. But in matches, he seems to lack some confidence and be too eager to send troops. He needs to develop his patience.
Between the two of you, who's more adult-like?
▲Best: Of course, we are still immature (haha)
▲Doctor.K: Neither of them is. I guess Bisu acts his age, but the problem is that Best acts like a boy in grade school. (haha) [T/N thanks phosphorylation]
What do you envy the other for?
▲Best: Money. (haha)
▲Bisu: I've recently been in debt, so I have no money. I wish I could have Best's body.
What about the other person's most depressing point?
▲Best: Not long ago, we played rock-paper-scissors to decide who would buy coffee. Bisu threw his hand just a bit later, so I lost, and that made me sad. (haha). I'm kidding. There's really nothing very depressing.
▲Bisu: Before, I said I wanted to sleep next to the window, but he advised me against it. It looks like he just wanted the window. (haha). After I discovered that, I was pretty sad. (haha) I'm kidding too; Best really doesn't have any unsatisfying points.
◆Eagerly await the strongest team of BB
The “Super Feature” is about to come to a close. What are your feelings?
▲Bisu: It was fun! (haha) Through this interview, we said things we normally don't say. Also, I hope Doctor.K can understand when we act girlish.
▲Best: I hope there's no more talk about us two being awkward. We understand each other better now, and it's a nice feeling.

Anything else you'd like to say to the other?
▲Best: Bisu's perfect, so I have nothing to say. I hope we can continue to do well as aces, so we become the strongest of the 10 teams.
▲Bisu: Same here. In the future, SKT's Protoss will be the greatest, and Best and I will work hard. I hope everyone eagerly awaits the strong showings of BB!
