Wow... that's is easily the best interview i watched from a Starcraft player so far. So much insight informations and the passion tlo talks about esports is just really amazing.

The six to nine hours was only his personal play hours. He admitted, he was kind of a failure in that regard compared to the Koreans in the house, and said Jinro on the other hand, managed to practice as much as the Koreans did.

Excellent interview, it was very entertaining to watch!
Subtitles were rather fast for my taste, had to rewind when there was huge lines of text. Also white color of text was hard to read in some parts because of background color being white. Other than that, top notch stuff!

Really, really good interview. Takesen does a great job at just keeping the talk flow naturally, and seems like a very charismatic guy which helps any interviewer.
Production was awesome too, perhaps a few too many closeup's but that might just be a personal preference.
I just wish my german wasn't so damn terrible.

We attempted to find him treatment in Korea but the language barrier was a major hindrance.
From appearances the number of people having CT in Korea are lower than elsewhere. I'm not sure why this is the case.

Easily the best Starcraft 2 interview I've seen since the game came out and that doesn't just have to do with it being almost an hour long! Perfect mix of in and out of game questions matched with really high production values. Also it's great to see Take work in German, his English is by no means any less entertaining but for something like a long interview I think German + subtitles works best.
Speaking of the subtitles they are my only complaint since they got a bit difficult to read at some points. I don't mind the timing issues with them since they got put out really fast for the community but for the colour they should either be grey or white with black outlines, pure white just don't work sometimes. They were still only a minor inconvenience though and don't at all put a dent in this awesome production, thanks again for the great interview.

First, the ESL extend the time where you can challenge opponents to gain points for a ladder system to qualifier for EPS. But TLO missed his sign-up for this, so they extend the sign-up too and said that they did it just for TLO.

I sat down with a couple pints and watched through the whole thing. everything about TLO warms my heart.
The highlights are just him talking about his tournament plans in the end of the 3rd and beginning of 4th video. It would make sense to anyone who followed the european scene.
He expanded a little bit about his switch to terran, saying as compared to korean terrans he was forced to play more of a macro style that he ultimately disliked and thought Zerg was a race with more unexplored strategies for him to play the style that suits him.
When they go back to the caster's apartment there's some sort of gay-sex vibe that seems to make dario uncomfortable but then he gets into it, though I'm pretty sure I don't understand european ideas of personal space as an american.

Also, the rule-changing thing is a bit of oxymoron on the part of the league organizers. It's basically a huge disrespect to all those players who participated up until now and had to put up with some of the most idiotic rules, just because they were rules and going by the classic german reasoning "rules above all", it was acceptable. Now, in retrospect, it seems like a bad joke, because they just bent the rules overnight for one single player. I mean, does it not send a message to other players "look, suckers, for you, there's a rule that cannot be bent, but here's a Golden boy, and he's the real deal, and of course above the rules". You cannot be serious, because using rules you just ruined some player's (Naniwa) career.

i'm surprised this thing isn't done more often with more pros, but the quality of production of this was pretty high. It's obvious that these guys are pros at this. Only slight problem was white subtitles on a sometimes white background, but I don't really know how you could solve that problem short of having closed captions (I think that's what they're called, like white on black background, but its not as visually appealing)
I was very surprised that so many people turned out to welcome TLO back at the airport. Obviously well mannered there. Hope TLO enjoys his time back in Europe!
I love how much nationalist pride there is and I guess how the culture is different than how I expected. Hey, the beer arrived, we can't let it just sit there, CHEERS!

Thank you for the interview I enjoyed it and now I finally know what pushed his decision to come back to Germany. I hope he gets the best treatment so he can perform soon. I would love to see him dart over to Korea from Time to time to take a shot at GSL and for a short intensive practice-session with his teammates. (Boot-camping) I think that might help him stay on the top, with the other.

hope he won't get hindered much by his injuries, carpal tunnel syndrome is a b*tch to heal, especially if you insist to keep on gaming. If anything he shouldn't touch a mouse for +-3 months, which he probably won't do. Thing is, the longer you wait for it to heal, the longer it'll take you to get rid of it (there's always a possibility you'll have to carry it with you your whole life long).
Let's hope it heals fast and it won't hinder you in your search to conquer sc2.eu =))

I have quite a bit of experience with carpal tunnel and it does suck. I have to play/type with a pillow under my hands, and I've actually had to switch mouse grips from a fingertip to a palm, so my wrist isn't under as much strain.
Fortunately, there are a lot of good therapists and exercises to minimize the effects and the pain. I'm sure TLO is going to get treatment with the best of the best.
Keep it up TLO, you're a boss!

Watching this made me wish I could try one of those Doner Kebabs. I tried to Google it but wasn't sure how to evaluate if the recipe would be worth trying. Any of you with Doner experience mind linking a recipe you think would be satisfactory?

Döner is kinda related to Gyros (but no pork version), so you could try looking into that, too.

very well done! lots of interesting questins were in there, really didn't expect this to be this interesting. good job by take and the cameracrew. especially the preperation was very good.
however, the subtitles were not always perfect, sometimes not readable and sometimes too short or not in sync with the video. but subbing 50 minutes of footage is a pain ...

Good interview. I liked the part about the korean team house best. Jinro talking in his sleep, people wearing each others clothes...
I also like that both guys speak good german. Some guys in the esports scene try to use as many english expressions as they can and its often annoying to listen to german casters who speak horrible german.

That was probably the coolest SC2 interview I've seen. Great production values, good questions, and actual real-life interaction with the player. Also, the thoroughness that only a 56 minute interview can give. I'd love to see more stuff like this for other SC2 players when they come to Dreamhack!

As much as I appreciate the U.S. esports guys like JP, Day9, wheat, etc. Interviews like this really make one realize how far our sports scene has to go. The questions were fantastic and the transitions were completely seamless and unforced. I really hope that media personalities of this quality find there way into the American esports scene.

I loved the interview. It was well done with an amazing atmosphere, and the just plain buddy talk was great.
The only problem i had with it was that I had a really tough time reading the subtitles when it was black and white. I don't know if anyone else had this problem but my eyes were having a difficult time adjusting.Something to think about for the subtitles maybe black box them like Closed captioning ? So the background doesnt mess them up?
Honestly though it could just be me and not really an issue
I'm still very sad that TLO switched to zerg but I loved listening to him talk about his time in Korea etc
