He might not have a broad vocal range, but his dry persona works. He needs a hyperactive foil to lighten it up and do the play by play. I think him and Artosis or (god forbid) a Husky would work damn well. Actually an Idra/Husky pairing would remind me of Martin Brundle / James Allen. The dry experience of Brundle with the over-the-top enthusiasm and less than keen intellect of Allen. For some reason that sort of contrast works so well. | ||

Idra solo casting would probably be a disaster given his lack of experience. He was superb today, because he had a professional next to him who knew exactly how to play the game. Jason would constantly ask Idra's opinion on certain situations and everytime Idra wanted to butt in, he would immideatly shut and let Idra talk. Then when Idra was done talking, he'd just fill the gap with some basic play-by-play and keep the commentating going. It's 10x easier for a guy like Idra to cast in that setup, because all he has to do is answer questions and just say whenever he sees something interesting. C | ||
