Ran by the Korean computer parts seller Brainbox, the invitational will be broadcast on GOMTV from the 13th to 16th to fill in the void left by the GSL.
Sponsored by Danawa (Korean shopping website), Intel (obvious) and Unitech (Korean computer parts manufacturer), the invitational will see the teams;
- fOu
- NEX
- oGs
- Prime
- StarTale
- TSL
- WeRRa
- Zenith
play each other in a knock-out format.over the four days. The winner goes away with a modest 3,000,000 won (around $2500 USD). Second place gets 2,000,000 won while third receives 1,000,000 won.

A Liquid member played as a oGs team member at recent Jotak-Cup Clan Team Battle in Korea. I guess a Liquid member will play there.

I see now why TL has been expanding a lot recently after a few years of being kinda exclusive. TL, i see what you did there.
Basically TL better get an invite - they have more than enough players now to field a team for this tournament.

After seeing how "dead" the calendar was for the enxt couple of days, I actually had to search for information on the few things happening, just to see that this major event (in my eyes) got absolutely no attention.
You say it's hosted by Gom? Since we haven't heard anything about it, I take it won't be english commentating? Either way, could we get some stream links (don't make me google it!)? I absolutely would love to watch this. Especially if oGs really does use Liquid players.
And wish Gom would throw Tasteless and Artosis in for this as well. Don't see them doing anything at the moment anyway (except for Tasteless playing qualification matches tuesday for GSL2 (woot, go Tasteless \o/)), so why not.

It means that the same player cannot play twice.
The format is the same as Winnersleague, except for the Ace match thing. Once a player has lost a game, he cannot play again for the match even for the last game.

According to the rumor thread, Effort is playing SC2. So that might be why fOu got the nod over IM and TL, but if they don't send out Effort it still doesn't make sense.

Looks like this is going to be on at prime time. Looking forward to it running all week. I guess this is the closest SC2 has done to a proleague yet. Pretty badass.
Anyone can search for brainbox invitational but putting a link to this thread or a day-specific thread if there is one (I'd make it, but I don't know virtually anything about SC2 or the players on their teams), into the calendar would be useful. If anyone has an idea which mod/admins would be available at this hour, please PM me so I can ask properly.

That was weird. Installing the NEWEST (2.1.27.5031) closing FF then relaunching, and downloading the GOMstreamer, suddenly it works and looks great. who knew.

Right now it's 1-1 between oGs and NEX.
Garimto opened up for oGs with some sweet nukes vs protoss, but was then defeated by NEX's second player (a zerg). Right now, it's the same zerg against Top.

Good eyesight is a very useful thing to have in progaming. Hence the glasses.
EDIT: You'd probably be surprised how many people in the NBA, NFL, etc. need corrective lenses. But, since you can't wear glasses in either of those sports without having them beat to shit immediately, they have to wear contacts (or really obnoxious looking goggles in basketball).
