Is it alright if I use a maphack temporarily? Don't flame me yet!! I can explain!
It just feels so gay to lose to a fantasy 4 vulture drop build or a gay ass proxy gate build on blue storm. Maphack gets rid of that

In addition, I feel like I can learn zerg strategy way faster with a maphack than without. Remember that I'm just starting out and that I'm still trying to figure out what counters what. So even if I know that terran is gonna 4 rax sunken break me, I might not necessarily be able to stop it. Well, practice makes perfect and it's much easier to mass games and accumulate zerg gamesense when I have a maphack and know exactly what's coming as opposed to just blindly feeling around in the dark.
Furthermore, because I'm so used to seeing everything my opponent is doing, it'll force me to scout better after I get good enough to stop using maphack. I guess positioning overlords or lings all around the map will just come naturally after getting used to seeing the whole thing for so long.
As far as I can tell, the only real disadvantage is that I may piss people off by getting wins I don't deserve and ruining their records, but I found a way around that. I use a scrub account and surrender as soon as I'm sure I'm going to win. That way, my opponent won't feel like he's been cheated out of a win. Now, occasionally, they'll leave before I have the chance to surrender, but hey, that's what you get for not sticking it out and leaving at the first sign of trouble!
So I just want to ask you guys if what I'm doing is ethical. I'm just trying to learn and it's so frustrating to learn a new race when you're trying to get used to build orders, micro, etc.
