In the interview with Chika he mostly made up a bunch of excuses. Nobody cares why he cheated, or that it wasn't technically a hack. Say you cheated, apologize, don't make excuses and move on. I think people would be more forgiving over time if he was more apologetic to the community. Maybe LS doesn't think he has anything to apologize for, but that just shows his immaturity. It's like a toddler defending himself as to why he hit his brother. "Well he made fun of me so I hit him", it's completely devoid of any apology and shows that he's unable with his current level of maturity to take responsibility for anything he's done. | ||

One was a protoss, whom everytime made Exalted look like an idiot, and made me switch to protoss briefly haha. I obsed Exalted beat the current-day progamer TeSteR[GM] 3-2 but then saw Exalted dismantled by my other korean friend. I still think to this day, that had exalted cared about Broodwar, he was the best foreigner that would have ever played with the exception of legends like Giyom and Elky. He improved with every loss, and his brain is just a gift beyond belief. I was sad when he told he was quitting shortly after i beat him in 2007 This lastshadow interview by Chika is hilarious | ||

For that reason alone TL.net should close it. Then the response posts: the quotes from LastShadow himself? Sickening. Fury's responses to the response posts: childish and blind. It would seem that no one is ready to forgive him and the general consensus seems to be he'd have to perform well in offline events such as WCG before respect is given. Forgiveness was asked, it was denied: reasons listed and solutions suggested. This thread has reached its end and I don't see anything more coming out of it except possibly a flame war between the thread creator & posters. I'd hope that moderators close this thread soon. | ||

additionally because the "general consensus" is one thing does not mean u have to agree. people say lil wayne is the best rapper alive, is he? not neccisarily. In nazi germany people thought all jews should be killled, should they? no. so just because other people say something doesnt mean u have to believe. it. | ||

I mean, look at oldy. Oldy was caught fucking maphacking and people have already started to respect him again. You know why? Because he didnt keep making these stupid "apologies", constantly saying he's innocent and he's done well in various tournaments. He just said "yeah, i hacked and I wont do it again" and as far as anyone can tell, he hasnt. He hasnt given any reason for people to suspect him again. He just dropped it and let it slip to the back of everyone's mind and I think most people think of him as a legit player again. Plus its the people he hangs out with, moonrai, game, kawaiirice, dino, and pretty much every faggot BW player that has ever walked the earth. Moonrai and game seem to be self hyping idiots like lastshadow who give themselves praise at every chance they get, yet fail to ever do anything impressive. And all dino does is talk in caps and brag about hacking. I mean how can you be taken seriously with this group of people? Long story short he needs to shut the fuck up and move on. Although I think his BW career is pretty much fucked beyond saving. | ||

- He cheated / abused / whatever you want to call it *multiple* times. He lied, and deceived people, he posted about himself, shameless self promotion, bragging, tons of other terrible qualities. - Now, he masks everything in an attitude he thinks will appeal to other people. He's trying to "rebuild" his reputation by giving people one-sided and skewed stories about his past, victimizing himself and trying to brush off all the bad things about his past by taking advantage of people ignorant about the foreign scene who don't know him already. - If you see beneath his facade of trying to come across as a "changed man" you can see he's just the same as he has always been. He's egotistical, delusional, thinks he's way better than he is, only cares about his image, and tries to promote it in shameless and stupid ways. This season and last season his ICCUP stats have been highly suspicious, although nothing has ever been proven, but having actually watched him play, his record and rank do not match what he actually looks like when he games. Point being, all he cares about is becoming "known" for the sake of being famous or whatever. He's self obsessed and a terrible person. He doesn't deserve anyone's respect or admiration. Nobody who tries to show off how good they are should be respected by anybody. That and he's never accomplished anything besides an ICCUP rank. | ||

1.) if iccup ranks mean nothing, than why on your recruitment page does it say "searching for B rank or higher". it seems odd to put something like that if it is not a measure of skill. 2.) everyone has reasons for playing starcraft, his is to be famous so what. I too agree his attitude is pretty sad, however BM is not a reflection of skill. nDie_Challrenge is a a-team progamer but is also notorious for ridiculous BM. but that does not mean hes a bad gamer. 3.) he did cheat / abuse. im pretty sure everyone knows that it does nothing for the situation to just say that he did it over and over again. also have any of you even seen lastshadows recent games? your making off-color remarks about his skill when you arent gaming with him or have seen any of his replays so how could you possibly know? its just ridiculous. dont remark about something u know nothing about. | ||
