Am I the only one who thinks that the ICCup complaint rules are retarded this season?
Yes, I know that they are working for free and that they are doing this for us, but to me it seems that they'd be more happy doing pretty much nothing at all. I've submitted 4 complaints who were all 4 legit wins and got them denied. The first reason was "We don't accept complaints from this date". Fair enough, the other reason was: "We don't accept complaints that's been caused by server crasches". What? So here I am playing a 30 minute game, struggling for the win, at the 20 minute mark when it's as intense as it can get I get "your connection to battle.net has been lost" and eventually 10 minutes later I win, and I'm not going to recieve points for it?
When I scrolled around in the complaints forum some guy got his complaint denied because his opponent left below the 2 minute mark when he took his gas. So basically the terran player left the instant his gas was taken and didn't recieve any penalty for it, what the fuck? Great so now gas-stealing is pretty much impossible seeing how every terran will just leave and recieve nothing as punishment.
Then they politely leave a note every time they deny a complaint saying: "If you don't agree with thsi decision submit it to this forum: link" Fine, so I go there, and I ask why is it that they don't accept complaints from server crasches anymore, because to me it seems like we as players are getting punished for some silly bug, caused by the server, by losing points we've fought hard for. All I got in response was "This thread is closed" and another "If you don't agree with this decision go to this forum: link". Fucking ridiculous is what it is.

Maybe the reason they're not accepting complaints from server crashes is practical and not a principal stance, perhaps it will result in ~200 complaints instantly so it's better to just drop it. About the <2 minute thing this thread says they should be punished, I hope they are (in general). My complaint got accepted so I'm going to be all iccup apologetic for now  might help that dozens of people also posted complaints about him (bestmaster)...

why would you expect to get points for stealing a terrans gas before 2 mins passed? You've been able to leave games below 2 mins without getting a loss for just about a decade now, it really shouldn't come as a surprise.

"Whenever a player leaves the game before 2 min mark. And that player scouts and sees unfavorable build to him like 5pool or a proxy rush or anything that implies great disadvantage (This also applies for taking gas (usually terrans leave)), admins are obligated to give him -100 penalty for 1st offense and increase it by a factor of 100 for next ones. (2nd -200 3rd -300 etc).
There can be also a situation when a player wants to cancel game beacause its close to 2min mark and no one had advantage(Usually the person who lost makes the complaint). If you see same thing as explained above give the offender a penalty and leave the game as it is. If the offender was the winner game is cancelled and offender gets the penalty"
If you lose points cause you didn't know the rules, it's your own fault.

I think the server crashes kinda have to be dismissed, especially because of the message they give you ; once you lose connection the message "you can leave the game now, it won't be counted towards your record" is displayed
i played a game where it was like, even, not much had happened before the message, but I didnt leave when it came and just decided to fuck around but stay in the game
then I lost like 5 minutes later
had the guy complained and I had lost points that would have angered me cuz my play was so altered by the connection being lost

That's the thing it's always been like this, and i've been fine with it. Then I read in the new forums and read about how they've changed to zero tolerance policy against games <2 minutes. Which kinda sucks ass because game deciding moves can and will happen below the 2nd minute mark, like a gas steal, or like someone else mentioned, 5 pool.

[0:39:05] Server uptime: 9 days 22 hours 46 minutes 7 seconds. There was no crashes or anything similar withing last 10 days. The message you talking about is about launcher reporting you as a hacker or loosing your monitor connection. and therefore such a complaints will be auto denied. Also, the "legit" gamer have a right to manually report such a game. So you got it totally wrong

I agree with the not accepting complaints before a certain date thing being really gay. I played a game where the guy d/c as me and my ally were killing him and we got no points for it because it for played before December 11th or w/e date it was. Which is pretty gay since you can just mass game when the season starts and d/c from every loss and have a perfect record up until the date when complaints get accepted.

This was completely circumstantial due to a new webpage etc etc. Never in the past have they given a date and stated any complaints before that would not be accepted. Your argument that people can mass game when the season starts with a perfect record (due to no complaints) is 100% wrong and flawed. It was beyond obvious that they were not going to accept tons of complaints that happened while they were trying to fix / update their server and webpage. Every other season has been normal.

Anytime you want to complain about something like that just stop and ask yourself if you would have preferred having flawed iccup or no iccup at all which was the option at the time.
