True Blood on HBO is fun though. Twilight.. the movie commercials alone make me want to find and murder whoever created it. Too bad Anne Rice is such a bitch huh? She doesn't even allow her fans to write fandom etc.

I agree with most of that, and also that the majority of the fans are younger girls, but I've personally met a LOT of girls on a couple of different college campuses that are pretty into it too, including my girlfriend who's almost 21. Though, a lot of those girls have been asian, and in my own personal experience asian girls tend to be a little bit more childish in certain aspects than girls from other races, so that may or may not have something to do with it, but I've definitely seen more than just older asian girls into it. I think the difference is that they don't get as excited as the younger girls about it and don't do any of that "dressing up" stuff that a lot of the younger ones do. At least from what I've seen. I saw the movie without knowing anything about the story except that it was a romance with vampires, and I personally didn't think it was all that bad of a movie. It was definitely cheesy at parts, and clearly a chick flick, but it was fairly tolerable. The vampires definitely made it more enjoyable for me though.

Bella(the girl): "So um, your a vampire so uh do you think that we will ever...uh...you know" vampire dude: No. And that is when I stopped reading. Oh yeah and I'll you overbearing boyfriends out their? Feminism is dead now. Go ahead and subjugate your girlfriends again as Twilight has now moved us back 20 years. In fact, why don't we hit our kids again too. (Sarcasm)

So, by your logic, you must hang out with a bunch of 13 year old girls right? There may be a lot of younger girls that are unnecessarily excited about the movie, and I think we can all agree that it's an annoying thing, but that's no reason to be a dick to other TL.net members.

Utterly terrible movie. Now im out $10 and wasted 3 hours of my time. CHEESY as hell, horrible action sequences, just... words cant describe how big of a time waste this movie was. edit - after reading comments, i think its worth noting my girlfriend and her friend(and her friends boyfriend) all hated the movie.
