And from what I hear, I doubt it's reasonable to compare this to a vampire movie. It's a romance/drama that just happens to have vampires in it... | ||

Now, I've not yet seen this apparently phenomenal spectacle of cinema, but I'm willing to bet it's not worth the hype, the millions of status updates that say "Twilight was AMAZING" and all the new photo albums entitled "Twilight premier!!". It's probably good, but not incredible.. here's why: 1. Wesley Snipes is nowhere in it. 2. Neither is Kate Beckinsale. 3. It's not rated R. 4. The main chick looks totally homely and unkempt. 5. I've heard that there is very little blood or dismemberment. I guarantee it's not better than any of the Blade or Underworld movies. Wesley Snipes is a total badass whereas Edward Cullen looks like an angst filled Abercrombie model. Not to mention that Snipes broke down racial barriers by being the first black vampire. Kate Beckinsale is totally bangin' hot and you know it, whereas Bella can barely reach an acceptable level of attractiveness. Chicks in vampire moves are supposed to be hot, extremely hot. No vampire in his right mind is going to try and pick up an "average" girl, vampires can do whatever the fuck they want so why would they settle? No-one cares if you saw it, when you saw it, how many times you saw it, who you saw it with, how incredible it was, how amazing it was, how many times you came at the sight of Edward Cullen, how you dumped your boyfriend immediately afterward because he did not closely enough resemble Edward Cullen, how you wish Edward Cullen was real so maybe he'd pick up a homely looking girl like yourself, how you lock yourself in your dimly lit room, light some candles, and touch yourself while you sit in front of your Edward Cullen shrine… and so on Grow up, and go watch a real vampire movie, one with explicit sex scenes, shit-tons of blood, and badass vampires who actually pick up hot girls. Suggested viewings are: 1. Interview With a Vampire 2. The Blade Trilogy 3. Underworld 1 & 2 4. Queen of the Damned 5. The Lost Boys 6. Nightwatch and 7. Jesus Christ: Vampire Slayer (yes it's real) Do not under any circumstances watch Van Helsing … it's just terrible. | ||

It's fucking awesome. It's almost a type of porn in that sense. It's a mixture of action, special effects, Kate Beckinsale in tight leather and exponential increases in the power of combatants. If you take it seriously then yeah, it's not great. In the same way that if you actually seriously look at porn those people have some weird facial expressions and wtf is that crap she's saying. But if you just dive into it then it's really hot. Underworld and Underworld Evolution may be two of my favourite films. It's a simple premise. Let's have lots of overpowered thingies and make them fight. Then double the power and repeat. And Kate Beckinsale!!! You simply cannot go wrong with it. | ||
