Zulu, if you look at last season Tottenham for a while was a team that was leading the league in goals scored. They also happened to be a team that had conceeded the most goals in the entire league. Now you get rid of your two best attacking forwads that are scoring all your goals and keep your shitty defense and the bottom of the table is where you're at.

What's the difference between Tottenham and a triangle?

A triangle has three points.

spurs weaken their squad rather than strengthen it in the off season. They sell 2 top striker, and defoe which I really rate and got a russian who just finished his season. didn't do shit to solid up a shitty defence, I mean.... they sold like 5 players who include players like Lee and chimbonda who may not be happy but can definately cut it in the epl. surely they must be aware that they don't have any solid full back if the starters are injuried and King is off half a season all the time anyway.

Haha, I liked that.

Tottenham spent lots of money on players that on paper are good and they're also young, the chemistry is all wrong. I think that they can perform well again but they need the players to develop more as it's a largely young team, maybe they're following rivals Arsenal with developing young stars but it'll take at least a season or two before any progress

spurs has always been on the same mentality as arsenal, developing young talents, and they focus it on english players as well. probably one of the reason why they fail to be honest. it is just not possible for clubs like arsenal or spurs to compete at the top level without buying young players at a young age, all because of this grass root shit and you can't scout over a certain radius and london has more than enough club.... shall I say.

i dont like when people put all the blame in Ramos, the blame has to go to the many players the club purchased who failed to reach their expectations, Luka Modric for example has been a dissapointment and he was regarded before as one of the best young talents in the world, that guy Palchenvenko and he isn't as good as the press sold him. Bad luck for Tottenham

edit heres another :
Osama Bin Laden sent out a new video to prove he was still alive, in it he said SPURS were rubbish recently.

Chelsea vs Liverpool is tomorrow, should be a crazy game. It also means that in the event that they both don't draw, Hull will be tied for second !!

The thing with spurs is that there is no damn balance in the team. Everyone knows that a good teams is well balanced with different player types and so on.

Juande Ramos has been sacked and Harry Redknapp has replaced him.

+ Show Spoiler [Juande Ramos sacked] +
http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11095_4393440,00.html

Tottenham have confirmed that manager Juande Ramos has left the club.

Spurs have acted to axe the Spanish coach after their worst start to a league campaign in their history.

They have also confirmed that sporting director Damien Comolli and Ramos's number two Gus Poyet have left the club.

The announcement has now come less than 24 hours before their Premier League clash with Bolton, and they confirmed that Clive Allen and Alex Inglethorpe would be in charge for the clash.

The club statement read: "The club can announce that Damien Comolli, sporting Ddirector, Juande Ramos, head coach and first team coaches, Marcos Alvarez and Gus Poyet, have left the club, with immediate effect. We wish them well.

"Clive Allen, development squad coach, and Alex Inglethorpe, youth team Manager, will take charge for Sunday's League match against Bolton.

"An announcement will be made on First Team coaching staff in due course."

Ramos joined Spurs just two-days short of a year.

+ Show Spoiler [Harry Redknapp confirms Spurs job] +
http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11661_4393516,00.html

Shortly after confirming the departure of manager Juande Ramos, sporting director Damien Comolli and assistant boss Gus Poyet - Spurs confirmed they had made a move for Redknapp.

Portsmouth quickly agreed to Spurs' offer of £5million for their manager and now Redknapp is on his way to North London.

More to follow...

I'm surprised it happened today. I thought he'd get a result against Bolton and then lose to Arsenal. He'd then swiftly get the sack. Spurs have some tough games coming up and I think there's no chance that they'll get many points with a new man at the helm.

I'm honestly surprised Ramos had struggled so much especially when I remember how well he did late last year. Now, it looked as if he didn't know what his best team was and he played players in roles that would never work--and they didn't--and he didn't make the correct adjustments in games, ever.

I always thought sacking Jol was a mental move and it's been proven right. I mean, sacking a coach that took a club to 5th in consecutive years is a bad coach? Christ. He's now a point away from top of the German Bundesliga with a game at hand while Spurs are one of the joint football circus clubs in the prem.(the other being Newcastle, obviously)

I'm baffled as to why Redknapp would take the helm at White Hart Lane. Sure, he'll get a bigger pay check but... oh, right... money. He was on Radio 5 saying how it was a difficult decision and all but how quickly did all of this just transpire? It looks like it took him, what, 30 minutes?

Oh, well. Let's wait and see how he does at WHL. I'm also curious what team will snap up Juande. He'll most definitely get a job abroad now and end up doing well, just as Martin Jol has, leaving Spurs looking, again, like a bunch of fools.

You take one of the highest scoring clubs in the Premiership that conceded some of the most amount of goals and take away the two top goal scorers without changing the defense, you're going to lose. That's all there is to it.

stupid decision again by spurs, don't really see how Harry is going to save them unless he plays king every game and fuck up the rest of his career.

I don't like Harry anyway, he probably never find it hard to leave portsmouth considering he actually went from portsmouth -> southampton -> portsmouth, just to prove he is a massive dickhead once again by claiming spurs is a bigger club to earn more money

stupid decision??? sacking Ramos was a no brainer, just how bad does a team have to do for the manager to get the sack for you? Ramos held out for his huge compensation and can now can go back to Spain to count his fortune, surely his next job will come in Spain and not abroad. Redknapp can't do any worse couldn't be more true!

I normally think teams fire their coaches way too early and often for little to no reason, it's pretty much a proven fact that continuency on the manager side leads to better results than getting a new one every season, but this one was bound to happen.. sacking martin jol however was god damn retarded and I cannot understand why the board of directors whom made that happen are still allowed to sit. (well I can understand this, as nobody is in the power to sack them. but they should be made to leave nonetheless =P )
