http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080321/ap_on_el_pr/obama_richardson ad: that means obama now has two former candidates in his corner, Chris Dodd as well as Bill Richardson. clinton has 0. the clintons lobbied HEAVILY for richardsons endorsement, or to at least keep him neutral, so while richardson isn't a huge huge name in politics the fact that the clintons invested so much in preventing this means it is a pretty substantial coup

And McCain will destroy Clinton come November if things keep going this way. Calm dooown. This might even be a net positive among his consistency, thanks to his highly praised speech on racism. As for McCain, the only place he can go is down. He is getting ridiculously favorable coverage right now, but he will not be able to avoid scrutiny all the way to the election. And when he is scrutinized, I can't fathom any moderate or left-winger voting for him. Brad Blakeman is an asshole. Unbelivable. He completely ignores the issue to bash Democrats, and he's got this asshole smug look on his face as he spews what he knows is nonsense. God I wish I could smack him in the face. How did Dan Abrams get a program anyway? He loves talking with his hands! As far as the issue goes. McCain has indeed been getting very easy coverage. The slip he's making there is a pretty common one among republicans, and I don't think he's misspeaking, I think he's deliberately mentioning Al-Qaeda because they're who Americans have heard of. Shia extremists is of middling interest to most Americans, so he has to keep bringing up Al-Qaeda. He knows that Iran isn't sponsering Al-Qaeda, but if can keep saying it and getting away with it, it doesn't matter to him.

Honestly, I can't much tell how McCain and Bush differ on the issues, and that scares the hell out of me.

I'd compare McCain and Bush (and oh my god are there a lot of similarities) and just put a slogan "a vote for McCain is a vote for George Bush" If American's want to elect another George Bush then fuck 'em! But, having said that (and I'm not crapping on) the involvement of "jews" in terms of media (and other assets they own) and in the election process is a bit of a worry. Just look at who was at fault during the original "mis- election" when Gore lost and the media's coverage of the republicans in general... mmm... guess Rupert Murdoch dines at Bohemian Grove.

![]() here stealth this is just for you lol Hillary's Deathwatch, a feature that keeps daily tabs on just how dead hillary is. it's gonna take 5 wooden stakes, 3 silver bullets and a few nuclear bombs. the percentage isn't so useful but they write a new article each day compiling up all the evidence on what damage was done to her etc, so it's a great place to check her pulse. http://www.slate.com/id/2187558/ + Show Spoiler + Hillary Clinton is as good as dead. This became the consensus over the past week, when the media awoke en masse to the dual reality that 1) Clinton can't close the pledged-delegate gap and 2) Obama has her beat in the popular vote. But the Clinton campaign shows no signs of slowing—she said herself she's prepared to compete for at least three more months. So the question now is not just "How dead is she?" but "When will she realize it?" In the tradition of Slate's Saddameter (gauging the likelihood of invading Iraq), the Clintometer (measuring the chances of a Lewinsky-related ousting), and the Gonzo-meter (charting the attorney general's demise), we bring you the Hillary Deathwatch, a daily update on Hillary Clinton's dwindling chances of winning the Democratic nomination. To start off, we're putting her odds at a generous 12 percent. (Last week, a Clinton campaign official gave her one-in-10 odds.) At the moment, polls indicate that Obama has survived the Jeremiah Wright flap (for now). Clinton's Bosnia blunder has metastasized from a headache into a five-day circus. Bill Richardson finally climbed down from his fence onto Obama's side. And a Michigan court yesterday deemed the state's Jan. 15 primary unconstitutional and declined to order a revote, effectively smothering the last glimmer of hope for a deus ex Michigana bailout. Meanwhile, a new poll puts her favorability rating at 37 percent—its lowest since March 2001. That said, Clinton does have a shot. A heroic margin of victory in Pennsylvania and every subsequent primary, an implosion of the Obama campaign, a sudden mass epiphany on the part of superdelegates, or some combination of the three could lead to a Clinton nomination. But to be honest, we don't expect Hillary's chances to climb much higher than 20 percent. Hence the sinking ship. We'll adjust Clinton's odds as polls waver, surrogates resign, superdelegates bail, and, of course, voters vote. We'll also keep an eye on indicators like fundraising, political futures, media coverage (always reliable), and the windchill factor in Scranton, Pa. We are running up and down. We are taking shots." The metaphor would work if she mentioned that Obama is up by 124 points, he has the ball, and Clinton has been missing shots all quarter. gold

The oldest president to get elected to date was reagan at age 69. McCain would be a record setter. Can grandpa keep up with Obama?

After Obama states she deserves to stay in the race despite what fellow Democrats are saying. Way to go on the negative.
