I feel something like that is more viable as it would have a nice competitive sc atmosphere, which is often lacking at netcafes these days and you'd have people attending just for that. | ||

It is kind of an intriguing idea though, obviously the cost is a bit too high, but if something like this were to happen in the Toronto area but instead of lessons it was more just a LAN party, I would probably think of attending. Anyone here have a cottage in cottage Country that they would want to host a LAN party for in Ontario | ||

But holy shit $750 for a starcraft camp? OMG what do you get out of that? in 5 years no ones gonna care about starcraft. These guys arnt even qualified to teach it. If Boxer decided to hold a SC camp I would still think it was stupid, but I wouldnt find it disgustingly hillarious. Dudey the strat book was a good idea - if its done properly - but come on, $750 for a 'camp'? shit thats just daylight robery. The guy who suggested the lan+beer+snacks at least had his head screwed on. | ||

I've been to computer programing camps in the past, basically what you did was you learned how to program (C++, Visual basic, etc.) played computer games a couple hours a day, and went outside for like 1 hour a day. This was a DAY camp, NOT overnight and this was ranging in the 500+ dollars. The camp did NOT cover any food (unless u paid to go ovrnight) and it did not have a T.V. with fucking OGN vods playing. Nor did it have a tournament at the end where you have a chance to win 1/3 of your money back... I personally think this is a great IDEA, and if it was a little more structered, and if I had 750 to spend I would definitly do it. Jesus christ people, listion to yourselves. Edit: The only suggestion I have is maybe making some sort of scholorship avalable, because most anything expensive thing these days (college, camp, etc.) has scholorships available.
