Limit have a good lead now and Mehtod basically wiped Saturday off to do mass splits and now M+ and then will go hard Sunday onwards. | ||

I think Method isn't as behind as people believe. Limit surely is ahead, but I doubt any doing splits for method today will change much in the long run. They have to do them eventually before reset and they chose now instead of possibly later in the week. It will make them spend less time on actually killing zaqul (hopefully), and then they can just keep focusing on azshara, which right now looks honestly unkillable this reset atm. Maybe Limit figures out a bunch more, but getting into P2 and they are getting wrecked by the dps check on the 2nd add (if they even live to that). So far this race has been awesome, limit's comms have been great to listen to, and people going back and forth with boss kills is pretty cool to see that its not just all one side winning on each boss. | ||

Looking at scripes PoV atm, in the delirium realm their mages at the end are killing the rogues with ignite spread, which isn't what you want to do in the last burn lol. | ||

We keep seeing people die for method after the 2nd psychotic split in the final burn. They need to figure out whats killing them and get those players to stop dying. Limit had the same issues where people died to avoidable things in those last %s, so if Method can fix those things they certain can kill it. It's way worse publicity if it's being clipped off of a Method(tm) world first stream rather than just being a message on a social media account labeled MethodName. One of their players, Josh, got a twitch permaban some weeks ago. It seems to be because of "edgy / incel-like" comments that he claims were "just jokes" and relatedly threatening/harassing somebody IRL on-stream. Anecdotally i'd say that it's not just Method, the WoW community as a whole has a real problem with sexist/lgbt-phobic/racist/ableist and similar attacks which are "just jokes"; people that consider "having a sense of humor" to be synonymous with putting down minorities that don't want the comments and aren't in a position to defend themselves. It's extremely difficult to avoid them and i've had to leave several guilds - two just in the first half of BFA - which seemed fine, only for an officer or part of the main clique to say "ni**er fa**ot" or go on a rant about attack helicoptors and autism or what positions they're gonna take up when they're raping azshara in explicit detail during the first raid. It's not a huge percentage of players that partake in that kind of cancerous behavior but the many rarely step out of their way to moderate the few and sometimes they even encourage it which creates an environment for it to flourish. Blizzard is also directly responsible in part as they give exclusive privileges to some of these people as they run out-of-game communities where they take part in and encourage such behavior. The demon hunter community that they selected to recieve those privelages ranges from hundreds to tens of thousands of results in quick searches for slurs like "ni**er", "fa**ot", "tran**" and similar, many from the admins, even "copypasta" paragraphs on a server bot which incorporate them. They're openly racist, sexist, lgbt-phobic, everything under the sun and they're proud of it. They have whole channels dedicated to unmoderated hate "memes" despite it being against the discord TOS. They have been used to lead out-of-game harassment and doxxing campaigns against people who run or ran alternate communities to avoid those exact problems, in some cases leading to those communities being entirely shut down, and have bullied their way into being the only voice featured on mainstream sites like wowhead, icy veins and MMO-champion. Honestly i can't believe that this sort of thing isn't talked about more often; it's disgusting and it has a huge impact on the viability and enjoyment of the game. MMO's are social games first and foremost. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- My Vers weight is >1.5x higher than Mastery again because of some scaling quirks, e.g. essences not scaling with Mastery or Haste. It's so distorted that a 50/50/0/0 distribution of secondaries gives more DPS than 40/40/10/10. Mastery has been pretty useless since the BFA Alpha as it only buffs chaos damage. I did 92% chaos damage on ST in 7.3.5 but currently i'm doing 37% chaos because of design changes in the class and related mechanics like azerite essences. I'm hoping at this point that they just delete vers in 9.0 with how boring it is to stack all of your secondaries into, a char with 2000 vers feels exactly the same as a char with 0 vers but just has some bigger numbers. The exact same class design would be quite a bit more fun if we could play it with mastery/haste stack instead of vers crit agility | ||

But it will be interesting to see how rest of week goes since we still might not have enough and it would be pretty frustrating to be stuck on ashvane for weeks just due to a rough dps check. Our raid for reference is already 431 overall, and on pulls closer to like 434, so not sure how much higher as a raid we are supposed to be for us to effectively kill the boss. We aren't the best, but world ~350ish, and in BoD cleared through opulence early week 2, so hopefully we get really close to ashvane this week (or kill her). I definitely think even a small hp nerf will allow a lot of guilds to kill it quickly though just due to how her shield works. | ||

I don't like the bias here, it's clear that shadow priests were more negatively affected but it's a major bug which screwed people out of 2+ weeks of residuum and often more so why not undo it for everyone that was negatively affected? tl;dr two azerite pieces were incorrectly not available from the random residuum roll, one leather shoulder and one cloth shoulder. GM's have been instructed to offer refunds to all cloth wearers but absolutely not for any leather users on the basis of the piece being more important for shadow priests than for anyone else. There real problem here is that those spriest shoulders literally have no equivalent beyond ilvl 415 so they felt they had to refund TR to people who tried to get them - because literally any other shoulder piece they get instead of those will be instantly scrapped because no spriest will want them. How they managed to put just one viable shoulder piece in the game for spriests at heroic and mythic ilvl, for which you can either gamble or wait 10 weeks to buy them, is beyond me. That is a particularly bad state of gear imbalance which should be hotfixed ASAP if not already IMO. | ||
