The proof IS Crimea. Because it happened there, almost everyone will believe it's happening in East Ukraine too.
And anyone who tries to deny this has NO credibility. Even if they're right, no one will believe them. When Putin chose to use his Spec Ops in Crimea in such a blatant manner, his credibility on this issue in non-Russian controlled countries is now exactly 0.
Heck, even the Chinese government, who is pretty friendly to Putin, and trying to be adamantly neutral on this issue, don't believe a word he's saying on this topic.

More than you. At the very least I don't get lied to on a regular basis by Putin's media.

Outside of Russia, Putin has no credibility on this issue.

yeah you get lied by your media on regular basis and of course you think your media only telling the truth

Dude, say what you want about Western media but it's a thousand times more trustworthy than RUSSIAN media.
I'm not saying Western media is good, but compared to RUSSIAN media...

you can't compare
edit: oh wait, you can cause the man who knows what chinese goverment thinks can do anything

Exactly. That's how bad Russian media actually is.
Whenever I read RT, I arrive at the truth by believing the exact opposite of what they're saying. It's an incredibly good and reliable method, which is why I enjoy reading them. They lie so much that by believing the opposite you'll probably arrive closer to the truth.
EDIT: Pfffft. Not related to the argument. Please try again.
EDIT 2: Damn it. I'm actually offended at your feeble attempts at trolling. You're so obviously trolling that it's upsetting me because you're doing such a bad job of it.

You're so obviously trolling that it's upsetting me because you're doing such a bad job of it. At least he makes it evident. You claim that Ukr forces are fighting Russian special forces, which is among the most ludicrous posts in this thread to date. The sad fact is you're not trolling. You're being dead serious. You're worse than Kerry was a week or two ago lol.
And anyone who tries to deny this has NO credibility. Then no one except you has any credibility. You speak adamantly about things that aren't the case. You have yet to show me where all these Spetsnaz guys are. There would be no Ukrainian forces within 50 miles of Slavyansk if all these random angry guys, who aren't even military or are at best were in the military in the past, were Russian Spetsnaz, and that Ukrainian forces are fighting Russian Spetsnaz, which is among the most unrealistic assertions about the situation. On top of that, all the evidence that exists is entirely against your myth. No, I'm sorry, Crimea is not proof of anything related to eastern Ukraine. This is an entirely irrational extrapolation.

I wrote Ukraine is effectively at war with Russian spec op soldiers. I did NOT write they're shooting at Russian spec op soldiers. Please read carefully.
If at this stage a Russian Spec Op soldiers is getting shot at, he's probably doing it wrong.
Their orders will be very clear: cause trouble, but don't get caught. And don't start a direct firefight. Yet. Better to use the proxies in the various rag-tag militias.
To repeat: Ukraine is effectively at war with Russian spec op soldiers. And their proxy militia-men, I might add.

If a Russian Spec Op soldiers is getting shot at, he's probably doing it wrong. But then you tried saying "But Crimea is the proof guyz plz believe me you're all stupid if you don't". Well, what happened in Crimea was there actually WERE Russian Spetsnaz there. So if you're saying what's going on in Crimea is going on in Eastern Ukraine, then what the heck do you mean by "effectively at war" with Russian Spetsnaz? Please show me your grand evidence please. You obviously know things not even the Russian government knows. Must be rogue deserting Spetsnaz who went to Slavyansk, Donetsk, etc., right?
And their proxy militia-men, I might add. Can you give proof of these "proxy" militia-men who are only fighting because of Spetsnaz mind-control on them and the Spetsnaz magically present in eastern Ukraine that only YOU know about? I don't know, seems like to me, these guys are really angry with the govt. in Kiev and are fighting because of that. Considering they bitch and whine every day about how Russia gives them no help, I don't think there's magical hordes of invisible Spetsnaz swarming eastern Ukraine. It must be the Illuminati.

Please stop. This thread has grown too huge for petty arguments and personal attacks.

If terrorists are attacking targets in America, and sending arms to crazy militiamen, are we at war with them? If Russian FSB agents are fomenting trouble in Ukraine, that leads to deaths and fighting, does this mean Ukraine is at war with them?
Not all wars involve artillery duels. Or have to be declared.

So now you change the narrative to claiming Russia is arming these guys? No proof of that either. :S But still, you have to tell me where these Spetsnaz guys are! You know something that no one else in the world knows. Your omniscience here would be most valuable! You could single-handedly figure out the entire situation, as if you have map hacks!
Not all wars involve artillery duels. Or have to be declared. Yeah you can be Khomeini and call jihad, but Putin wasn't crazy Muslim guy last I checked. Nor is he doing anything you're claiming, at least no proof of it, and the proof that does exist says the opposite.
|
Crimea is the proof. Putin did it once there. He's doing it a second time now. You can say what you want, Hammurabi, but after Crimea you have no credibility outside of Russia.
EDIT: No, Putin is not like Khomeni. Your analogy is flawed. Putin is a crazy Russian nationalist. And he's behaving like one right now. Evidence? Crimea.

EDIT: No, Putin is not like Khomeni. Your analogy is flawed. Putin is a crazy Russian nationalist. You already used this "Crimea is the proof" argument, and I hate to break it to you. but that isn't proof. It is at best a very poor extrapolation. It isn't proof to anyone either. It isn't even proof to John Kerry who has been a real comedy show as of late. Only to you, bro
Declaring jihad is not considered "officially" declaring war. I was giving an example of the other primary way to declare war without declaring war. But aside from Crimea, Putin hasn't taken any direct action yet elsewhere, and there's no proof of it. Is there a problem understanding that?

Hammurabi, stop. You will not get any meaningful answer from this guy. Let's focus on the ukranian crisis again.

You're doing a good enough job at trolling that you should be humored. Competence should be rewarded.
To respond to the argument at hand: you can say what you want, but your argument has no credibility because of Crimea. Russia denied using Russian troops in Crimea. And it's very obvious to everyone that he did. Now he denies using troops in East Ukraine. Who would actually believe him?
As I said: even if you are telling the "truth," your truth has no credibility outside of Russia. At this point, perceptions of the "truth" (if such a thing exists) count more. And the perception outside of Russia is that Putin is lying through his teeth due to what happened in Crimea.
EDIT: Russians might believe the uprising in East Ukraine is "spontaneous." No one else does. That's what I'm trying to get across.
