How does that suprise anyone? Their country was invaded by Russia, it's more suprising that no real conflict has broken out yet.

Seems more like something she said out of anger, didn't the Ukraine gave up all of its nuclear weapons? And even she should know that a nuclear strike wouldn't be left unanswered by Russia.

That stance, announced at a meeting with a US congressional delegation, puts Afghanistan in company with Venezuela, Syria and a few other nations. It was an unexpected move from a man who has little stake in Ukraine's future, spent years fighting to evict Soviet forces from his own country, and now leads a democracy funded largely by the western nations that have slapped sanctions on Moscow. However, Karzai has always been keen to counter accusations that he is a foreign puppet, and more recently has been at odds with the United States over everything from air strikes and the forthcoming presidential election to the recent release of dozens of prisoners captured by foreign troops. He may also be looking to strengthen regional ties, at a time when western interest in Afghanistan is fading and with it the funds the government needs to pay the army and keep the country running. "The two sides discussed issues of regional importance, in particular the annexation of Crimea and Sevastopol to the Russian Federation," an account of the meeting issued by Karzai's office said. "The president said that Afghanistan respects the free will of the people of Crimea to decide about their own future," the statement added, without giving further details. Karzai travelled to Sochi for the recent Winter Olympics when many European heads of state boycotted the ceremony, and Russia is starting to put money back into Afghanistan as foreign troops leave, retooling a factory that builds prefabricated housing and opening a cultural centre among other projects. source => http://www.theguardian.com/ When the Taliban take Kabul after we leave I hope they call us up and give us the chance to tell Karzai to screw off one last time right before he gets beheaded.

Most of Ukraine speak Russian, there is no surprise here, its got more strict and direct feeling compared to Ukrainian. But its sad to see some top level politicians talk some shit like that, just show how clueless there are at their job, from they talking its clear they are not smart enough and not kind of people who care of plans and stability.

The word is Ukrainian "кацап" probably coming from как цап (like a goat), an adjective for goat beards of Russian Boyars. It is used in Polish language too, as a derogatory term for Russians.

Shot through the heart twice while trying to `arrest' him? This is bad news. It will force the right sector further from power but it will make it more extremist and violent.

The whole purpose of a democracy is for people not to take arms and fight it out on the street but rather to do it in a more civil way of civilized voting. Rather, this so called democratic revolution has blindsided a compromise and agreement with the former elected president, annulled the constitution, stole power and called for the extermination of 20% of their own population. Then again she is pro-west so lets forget all that. Regardless, congratulations on giving Putin a legitamite exuse to actually annex the whole of eastern Ukraine because if the current people in power of kiev do consolidate their power, they will most likely begin a process of intimidation and getting rid of ethnic russians in Ukraine with comments like this from their leader. John Kerry spreading democracy one country at a time. Just ask Egyptians how well the US sponsored democracy is going with Sisi at the helm. They have announced they plan to execute 529 morsi supporters. I personally expect either a split in Ukraine or a full out civil war.

Russia's banks feel sanctions pinch March 24 - Sanctions on Russia haven't had much impact on President Putin but there are signs they may be hurting Russia's banks. As Ivor Bennett reports St Petersburg-based Bank Rossiya has asked its clients to refrain from making foreign currency payments. And by interesting you mean it's one of the less known `alternative news sites' set up by the Kremlin to spout the usual Russian line about US depravity and weakness, all the while happily spreading 911 conspiracies and other junk. Even if there's something truthful on that site, it's not worth going through all the nonsense to find it. An honest question to you, oo_W_oo, how did you even find that site?
