He's ignored all questions regarding him leaving EG so far on the chat in his stream today. Wonder if we'll ever get anything official from EG or Jake about this.

Regarding all the comments about "machine is next" and thinking EG cut LzGamer .
both seem very unlikely.. a quote from liquipedia:
" On April 12, the team Evil Geniuses officially announced a StarCraft division.[1] The initial roster consisted of iNcontroL, Nyoken, Machine, LzGaMeR, and G5."

Seems unlikely that they would scratch a founding member from their roster without an extremely good reason, no tournament success not being one of them imo.

I expect him to quit progamming or move to LoL or Dota 2 now. I can't imagine why he would leave EG if he actually intends to continue playing SC2 professionally.

When I first got back into Broodwar LZ was one of the handful of people consistently streaming first person games. Who knew how common it would be today.

Thanks for the hours of entertainment and re-education on Broodwar and best of luck in the future. 5hatch hydra and Team Micro Arena ftw.

He said on stream today that it was quite simple.

His words: "My contract expired. EG offered me a new one. I declined."

He also stated that he isn't leaving ESPORTS and there is no bad blood. Hope to see him on a new team soon!

I wonder why he declined. It would seem to me that being on a top-tier team like EG with all their resources to support you would be extremely beneficial as a progamer.

Might be worth more elsewhere, the way Axslav was with ReIGN. And he wasn't ever going to use the teamhouse or go to Korea; he just got engaged.

He said one thing on stream today that I thought was kind of funny. He seemed relieved to be able to say his skype name and have people add him if they want coaching, rather than having to sneak around and do it covertly through emails because of the Raidcall sponsorship :D

I watched Lz's stream all the time in 2009 and I found it very entertaining. I haven't really been following SCII at all, but he really inspired me to improve my Zerg play in Broodwar. I wish him the best of luck!
