Im just starting this thread because it think its a shame to lose a talentfull sc2 player, actually almost never watch his stream, ive maybe watched 10 minutes of one session once, thats it. Neither am i a fan. I just think he deserves better.
I haven't been around when broodwar was being played. I dont know the exact reason why he got banned, but i assume it was cheating, bm etc.
However lately he decided to go full time on sc2 for 5 months (he just quit that period about 1 month ago) anyways in that time he actually achieved alot for just playing 5 months from a huge break from playing.
I believe if was WCS or WCG (not sure) any of those, he got to round of 8 and i believe he was the ONLY foreigner to make it that far, he lost his ro 8 vs Parting 2-1 who then went on to win the whole tournament. He's been trying hard to apologize to the community and hes gotten alot more polite and good mannered.
Im not a huge fan, simply because hes toss and im terran x).
I really think his play is pretty enjoyable since he does cool strategies and funky stuff. at least he used to!
I don't see why teamliquid cant give him another chance? if he starts to bm again just perma ban him? everyone deserves a second chance.
He recently quit sc2 from his 5 month full time play, but he also said if he somehow got unbanned from TL he could start to stream and go full time pro. Thats a dream that many people want, he has the potential to become a really good player.
Even tough he has done bad stuff in the past, thats the past.
This thread might be pointless because after all its teamliquids choice.
I mean what does anyone have to lose by unbanning him?

I DID NOT CREATE THIS THREAD TO GET HIM UNBANNED, I JUST WANT TO SEE WHAT THE COMMUNITY THINKS ABOUT HIS BAN ETC. I DONT THINK TEAMLIQUID HAS DONE ANYTHING WRONG I WOULD'VE DONE THE SAME, BUT I ALSO THINK HE DESERVES A SECOND CHANCE SINCE HE'S LATELY SEEM TO GET ALOT BETTER BOTH IN HIS PLAY AND MANNERS, I DONT SEE WHAT ANYONE HAS TO LOSE,
i dont know much about him other then incontrol hates him, prob cus hes done better then incontrol will ever do (even tho it was only one tourny) and because he's BM which prob reminds incontrol of himself years ago.
doing well once made him prob wana be less BM. funky strats are cool but im not too excited about another toss streamer lol

Although your point about everyone deserves a second chance is valid, he's had his second chance. And third. etc. (as he himself has said). tbh until he does something really big for the community, i think he should stay banned

Well to be honest Kennigit/Hot_Bid have said on numerous occasions that it would take more than a few months or more than one good tournament to get unbanned.
I'm almost certain there are allegations of stealing money from individuals under the pretense of being sick, cheating in bw extensively, even cheating in a LAN in sc2. Though Combatex deny's some of this to differing levels, it's kind of reasonable to ban him.
It's a shame, he looks like he might actually have changed the most horrible sections of his old personality, but i understand/respect/agree with the decision to keep him unbanned until TL can be certain his change this time is genuine and not another random apology followed by detritus.
He would go full time pro? He's not good enough for that. Besides, what does posting on TL have to do with becoming pro? Unless he thinks that having a featured stream is somehow the key to success, which is obviously not.
