Expect boilerplate PR standard apology, and a quiet thanks to those who raised the profile of the ad by giving it attention. Yeah this "outrage" is the best thing for the company.

I'm offended by it because it was a disrespectful and absurd use of his words and Dodge should be ashamed of themselves as should anyone that finds it acceptable. Shit was loud where I was at but it is obviously offensive. Think if MLK was told his speech was going to be used to sell shitty overpriced trucks. It should be abundantly obvious that's not something he would approve of. It's BHM and not a damn person that liked that ad knows a god damn thing about MLK besides the whitewashed sanitized trash they were fed in school.

First of all, I want to commend you for giving a straight answer rather than pussyfooting around the issue and saying nothing of value, as others have done. I appreciate that. I’d like to hear a little more about the bolded part though; what “whitewashed sanitized” version of MLK do people know, and what about that characterization falls short? I know you make use of the “white moderates” line a fair bit, but I’m sure there’s more. I can certainly sympathize to some extent with that view but I suspect you might have more than most to say here.

And using the Dalai Lama arguably is worse, because while MLK is undeniably one of the most important people in americas history, the Dalai Lama still is, for Tibet. An issue btw that China would love to go to war for. Quick google also found Hitler selling Shampoo in turkey. While i agree that some things are not necessarily appropriate to commercialise, it's equally stupid to be offended by it.

There is absolutely nothing stupid about being offended by offensive advertisements. It's categorically absurd to suggest as much. Those that think it was fine can kindly stfu about something they know nothing about. Stop victimising yourself for bullshit that has no impact whatsoever on your life or your past. You're fucking part of the problem of racism against blacks in the US. Focus on real scandals which certainly do exist, instead of desensitising everyone for your cause because you constantly go apeshit over everything that you personally feel offended by. What do you call the millions of blacks that aren't offended? Are you suggesting that they're not "real blacks", or are you suggesting that every single black guy in the US is offended? It might've not been a great ad, nobody is disputing that. But you constantly run around with foam around your mouth every time you perceive something as unacceptable (not just about racism). It gets old, and it definitely doesn't help your cause. But hey, who am i to tell a conspiracy theorist that his screeching really doesn't do anything good. In other news. Somehow it went past him that the demonstrations are not because people don't like the NHS. The demonstrations are against cuts of funding for the NHS, and against any move towards a US styled "healthcare". The NHS is wildly beloved, they're demonstrating because the government is intentionally trying to ruin it. I don't even understand where the "non-personal" comes from, but then again, it really isn't surprising.
