Since it was discussed a decent bit at the time of the incidents.
The US Navy says it will charge the former commanding officers of the Arleigh Burke-class destroyers USS Fitzgerald and USS John S. McCain with negligent homicide, among other charges, in relation to a pair of deadly collisions in 2017. Other individuals involved in those incidents face courts-martials and non-judicial punishments after a damning report concluded that serious breakdowns in leadership, along with other serious issues, were directly responsible for the mishaps.
USNI News was first to report on the charges against U.S. Navy Commanders Bryce Benson and Alfredo J. Sanchez, who were in charge of Fitzgerald and John McCain respectively, on Jan. 16, 2018. Both men face a number of charges that include negligent homicide and dereliction of duty, unnamed sources told USNI News. Navy leadership had already relieved the two officers of their commands after the mishaps.

Good old Eric to save the day
Eric Trump defends his father against charges of racism, claims the only color the president sees is green
Eric Trump defended his father against charges of racism Wednesday, claiming President Trump sees just one color — and it isn't exactly a natural human shade.
The president came under fire last week after he reportedly dismissed immigrants from "shithole" places such as Haiti, El Salvador, or Africa during a meeting with lawmakers. He then allegedly offered up immigrants from Norway, a country that is 94 percent white, as a favorable alternative.
Eric Trump nevertheless dismissed such reports, suggesting on Fox & Friends that the demographic differences between Norway and the continent of Africa have nothing to do with it. "My father sees one color: Green," said the president's second son. "That is all he cares about. He cares about the economy."
Eric Trump went on to add that his father "does not see race. He is the least racist person I ever met in my entire life. It is total nonsense." President Trump, for his part, has denied using the specific vulgarity that has been attributed to him and told The New York Times on Sunday night: "I'm not a racist. I am the least racist person you have ever interviewed, that I can tell you." source
Why they insist on using this 'least racist ever met' rhetoric is beyond me. I mean it makes them looks plain silly

It doesn't make them look silly. They're the most sensible looking people I've ever met.

If anyone has any dirt on trump when it comes to the election campaign then its bannon. If bannon doesn't have anything then I do think nothing terrible did happen during the campaign, but my guess is he does have something. If he is willing to share it I don't know, maybe he uses it as leverage against trump or he just likes to keep all options open.

That’s pretty funny, and fully Trump. It would play well with his base, except for another “shithole countries” comment that’s due in 2-4 weeks.

at any rate; it is odd rhetoric, but it makes sense the son uses similar speaking style as his father. and a son not gettin that his father isn't so good isn't a surprise at all.

Except there is several decades worth of evidence that Trump is super racist. From court documents to accusing the Obama of not being a citizen. The argument makes them look ignorant.
And this time playing to his base is going to bite him in the ass. Democrats can’t give any ground now, because their voters don’t want to give ground to a racist president. The Republicans can’t cut a deal because Trump is playing to his base. This was his deal, he said he would close it and then he blew it up. When to government shuts down on Friday, the Senate Republicans will blame Trump and the conservatives in the House.

Bannon got subpoena, you really think he doesn't have anything? I'm sure he has a ton, but all I can hear coming out of Bannon's mouth is pleading the fifth.

So much for blaming Democrats.

Nah, this is still on the dems. How can you be expected to get your whole party to vote for something? Nah this is 100% on the dems /s

Conservatives: Watching the country implode just to push their impossible agenda. Would rather our service members default on mortgage payments than work with the elected officials of other states. Apparently counting to 60 is really hard for them.
Edit: Apparently Bannon refused to answer any questions at all, including questions about the transition period and meetings with literally anyone. And he never specifically invoked executive privilege, but simply refused to answer. In invoke executive privilege, the witness needs to state the president is invoking executive privilege and they won’t answer that question.

I don't get this play. What is he gaining from this?

I have no idea. The House is going to make him testify or invoke the privilege specifically so it can be challenged in court. Sessions pulled this trick before the Senate and I think the White House is going to continue to pull it until they are stopped.
As for Bannon, I don’t know. But I am sure Trump’s allies have plenty of ammo they could use to hurt Bannon in ways we can’t even think of.

God can they please hand bannon over to the FBI for some good old waterboarding and other torture?

So what stops the FBI from calling him in? Perhaps already having an arrangement with them?
