Nah, you usually hear presidents say how tough it was to have a state partially devastated, but a wonderful thing to watch for the country, all the happiness. 'twas nice.

Basically after every disaster, be it natural disaster, terror attack or whatever you hear some politician say: "This was a terrible event, but to see how well people responded and helped each other, how everyone stood together, yadayada, this really warmed my heart / made me proud /made me believe in whatever great" But I think right now, all his advisers are frantically looking for new orbs to touch for him. I can't imagine Trump will be able to accept that his fiercest rival is outdoing him in orb touching. + Show Spoiler +

This whole shitting on the media is really paying off, since the media was side by side with the rescue effort. Literally helping to saving people and then reporting on it. What a clown.

Because surely hours of footage, interviews, and acts of volunteering by journalists were done from the coziness of their homes. Just your weekly (or daily at this rate) dig at the media by Trump. Well they are the media, not the Coast Guard or a relief organization, so lending a hand is already above and beyond what is expected of them.

Unless all of these response are bots or paid shills, I think it's safe to say Trump is a polite, friendly, and reasonable person when you meet him outside of a business meeting, political rally, or deep in the White House.

I've read this before multiple places; he is also apparently a very good listener. idk, he really is a showman when campaigning, I guess. lol

Its well documented that Donald is a good schmoozer who tells you what you want to hear. Telling people what they want to hear in the case of Donald Trump doesn't transfer into him doing what you want him to do. Same deal with Ivanka. People still see her as some moderating force when she's basically complicit in everything and practically disappears when her dad does something that goes against her "beliefs". We've got a president wailing at China for stealing manufacturing jobs, who then wails at Nordstrom for dropping his daughter's plagiarized fashion lineup that is made in China. If either of them gave a shit about US manufacturing, they'd have moved their products to US sourced materials and manufacturing but that takes effort and money to establish. There are countless examples of him saying one thing then doing another contradictory thing. Trump waving a rainbow flag around then pushing for a transgender ban out of nowhere is another recent example. Other politicians in the world wish they were Donald Trump because idiots keep dropping the bar lower and lower for him to the point that a positive selfie is supposed to be enough for us to start trusting him.
