Erik Holder was part of the justice department, not congress. Congress needs to set aside funding for FBI to investigate these crimes. The Justice department can’t magically make more money for agents to do this and all the FBI efforts are focused on terrorism. There is no one to gather to evidence to prosecute and its been like that since 9/11. And it won’t change until the public demands it. | ||

Fits your style. That doesn't diminish the imperative to follow up this possible evidence. Using it as a cover to divert or discredit other investigations is still not acceptable. E: apologies I've must have misread. | ||

EDIT: isn't it entirely plausible that the investigation into the hard evidence and early phone calls was enough to exonerate here? The emails themselves flatly showed no crime. The interviews didn't add anything. EDIT2: damn this Grassley spin is going down fast. | ||
