i dont think drugs and psychoactive substances should be marketable products. i would ban most drug advertising.
but to answer your question yes there should be usury laws against super-exploitative rates
edit: I think I'm confused. You think psychoactive substances should be legal, freely available, but not marketed?

You'd be wrong. The far right insist that Michelle is actually a transgender MtF, previously called Michael, and that the children are abductees. This is a real thing by the way. Big with the Seth Rich Clinton conspiracy crowd.
...
That seems like it supports Nyxisto's point more than anything else; these people can't cope with the concept that people on the other side of politics have a healthy family life so they make up some trash and descend to unreasoning hatred instead.

Hardly. I commend the last two presidents on their family life, as much as I can see. But if you want to add another garbage reason for people not liking Obama (because he was just an indisputably good president) then go ahead.

as the youtube make clear, ancestry.com have no record of Malia or Sasha being born, which means that they do not have any ancestors, which means they must have been adopted
To compound the issue, two Obama supporters, Martin Nesbitt and Anita Blanchard, had their daughters abducted. In Chicago. And their daughters just happened to be black. And Obama is meant to have two daughters. Coincidence? Unlikely. What are the odds of two children both being daughters? And both being black? When the parents just happened to support Obama?
You might ask why Obama has gone to all this trouble to marry a transgender woman. Well, it's obvious. He's gay.
I'm a little envious. Life must be so much more exciting for these people. Or maybe it's so boring that this is what they turn to for entertainment. Hmmmmm.

The newreasons people come up with are hilarious.
Eh... given the amount of blatant racism and hate that the Obamas received on a regular basis, I wouldn't be surprised if those same conservatives found it infuriating that the family didn't have actual dysfunctional drama and were actually a well put together, educated, loving, and eloquent family. Especially when contrasting the Obamas to many Republican leaders who are well known for infidelity and other private scandals (Trump, Gingrich, etc.).
I don't think Republican politicians have worse family lives then their Democrat counterparts as there are plenty of sex/family scandals to go around. They just talk about Christian and family values much more.
Democrats having affairs and stuff tends to end careers for some reason while it doesn't phase Republicans for a second. There's a definite double standard as far as that goes. Dems definitely have to stop giving a shit about any of that stuff.

I feel like there is one major Democratic figurehead that craps all over that idea. He's responsible for the nickname "Oral Office" if I'm not mistaken.

He ended up impeached, meanwhile like 100% of the Republicans involved in that witch hunt turned out to be having affairs themselves. How many wives has Newt had since then?
I doubt the people spewing that nonsense even believes in the crap they peddle. But hey, whatever makes you money, there's always people sucking that shit up. The more outrageous it seems the better, since real life is boring as fuck anyway. Kinda like religion almost.

That's the worst part of it.
Alex Jones doesn't believe the shit he's reporting. At least not all of it, i'm absolutely convinced. I said a few pages back that it's scary how well americans react to propaganda (maybe everyone, but in the US currently it's the most glaring due to recent events).

The Senate did not remove; ergo Democratic President survived impeachment after committing perjury on a famous affair. Wife runs for president some years later. Oops.
I really think after this administration, "but Trump" is going to be more objectionable than any of the other 'but' statements in recent years. Most people are going to distance themselves from him as though they never supported him, or stopped supporting him as soon as he started showing he was not suitable as president (despite whatever the reality might be but it doesn't matter).

This notion basically robs everyone who voted for Trump of agency while absolving them for their choice at the same time. There's a better way than "but Trump," but you're mistaken if you think Democrats are going to benefit from completely ignoring the rise and fall of Trump.

I certainly hope so. I will say that it seems like at least a few high profile Democrats are getting the message, including Schumer. If something comes of it then I will be willing to treat them with less hostility than at present. But in terms of concrete results that very much remains to be seen.
I'm seeing palpably beneficial changes in Democratic policy here among those racing for the upcoming Michigan governorship, but beyond that I'm not sure given shit like Hillary's pathetic memoir title.

I currently drink between 8 and 12 cups of coffee throughout the day. Now I wonder....
I want to say if you have it there's a 60% chance one of your parents have it as well. Sometimes I think my parents have it and sometimes I don't lol. If I had to guess my dad has it since addiction runs in his genes. He's an alcoholic, his brother was and died from it, his father was. ADHD folks have a heightened chance of dependence on drugs and alcohol. Dad and grandpa are/were also coffee fiends.
I wouldn't just say because you like coffee you've got it, that's pretty silly. But many people self medicate. Of course with online tests you can convince yourself you have anything lol. But check the other warning signs. My attention span is so short I've never in my entire life read a book cover to cover. It's not for lack of trying, it's not a good thing. But that's the kind of stuff ADHD entails. My attention deficit is so huge I can't read a book front to back. I never read a book through school, I bullshitted every single book report and test I ever took (though my English teachers always thought I was a great creative writer oddly enough).
If you legitimately think ADHD has dragged your life down and you've got the symptoms talk with a doctor.
This obviously isn't to say I don't know how to read or don't read. Things like this thread obviously take a ton of reading. Articles online, forums, games, etc all can take a lot of reading. Magazine articles and other short form things can be great. But retention is going to be a problem always and if I don't care I'll read 2 sentences and I'm now an intergalactic star fighter on a mission in my mind. I just check out entirely very quickly and my mind looks for stimulation elsewhere or makes its own up. If I REALLY need to read something or focus I have to go to the library that is dead quiet and I'll put on some white noise on my ear buds. I can't have any distractions at all, zero. My mind will take any distraction and run with it to free itself.
Yeah I have an appointment tomorrow. I have also started drinking way too much alcohol. I assume it's self-medication, but I'm not a shrink. All I know is being drunk every day for several weeks is a serious problem. Gonna get that shit sorted out real quick, lemme tell ya. There has always been an appreciable difference in my ability to get things done when I was on meds compared to not. One thing I do know is that I was one of the kids who was absolutely diagnosed correctly.

I'm ready for future "Even Trump supported an expansion of entitlement programs."
He used the Republican Party vehicle for his ascent to the White House, but as others here pointed out, he'd support single payer if it's popular and gets the moniker Trumpcare.
stopped supporting him as soon as he started showing he was not suitable as president
Obligatory "only supported given the binary nature of US presidential elections" here (amazing how it's still relevant). Redo the election with a believable conservative dem or a brick and Trump doesn't get my vote.
