What is the procedure for verifying if there actually are Oval Office secret recordings or not? I think this is damaging for the administration either way because forcing the administration to answer a yes/no of if tapes exist results in one of two possibilities: 1) admit the tweet was referring to fictitious tapes, or 2) admit the tapes exist which is bad in and off itself. The thing to watch out for, I suppose, is attempts to block efforts to get that question answered. In an ideal world I assuming it would be a hearing and a high level WH aid (or ideally Trump himself) would be asked under oath if the tapes exist. And if they do they can be requested/demanded. Sadly with the investigations being as partisan as they are that is unlikely to ever happen. And no fictitious tapes would not harm the administration. He has already lied a 1000 times. The 'tapes' isn't big enough to change that.

“The president and the foreign minister reviewed common threats from terrorist organizations to include threats to aviation,” National Security Adviser H.R. McMaster, who sat in on the meeting, told the Post. “At no time were any intelligence sources or methods discussed and no military operations were disclosed that were not already known publicly.” Apparently McMaster says nothing happened.

Read carefully. WaPo says city targeted was revealed. McMaster does not deny that critical fact. McMaster's statement would include Trump's leaks in "common threats from terrorist organizations to include threats to aviation".

I don't understand why you're so closed-minded when it comes to politics. Why is "being a Democrat" automatic disqualification, in your opinion? I'm not close minded to anything. My political values distinctly align with the political Right. When the democrats start pushing a Right-leaning agenda, then I'll consider voting for them.

By alienating the foreign intelligence community he's jeopardizing the US's national security against terrorist threats.

So your values "distinctly align" with killing healthcare, killing education, taking from the poor to give to the rich, and suppressing civil rights? Because in 2017, we're way passed saying something as unnuanced as "I'm a Republican because I believe in fiscal responsibility". There is sooo much more to that party, and it's killing our country. Like, excuse us Republicans, we're trying to have a society over here...

I can't remember, didn't the Republicans think leaking classified information was a big deal before?
