Stephen Miller, the presidents senior advisor (at age 32?) just said this
The end result of this, though, is that our opponents, the media, and the whole world will soon see, as we begin to take further actions, that the powers of the president to protect our country are very substantial, and will not be questioned.
I realize this is a serious topic and since I couldn't see any rule about making a harmless joke, so I hope I dont break any rules, but have you guys seen the videos with messages to Trump by other countries, the titles of the videos are usually "a country" Second, so that would be for instance Germany Second, France second etc. I just watched a bunch of them and they are hilarious.
That one has been making the rounds. And it isn't even the worst part, because he straight up says the judicial branch is to powerful and "unchecked".
I love the Trump administrations constant bitching about the press, like they give a fuck. Or the executive branch has any power to stop them from writing whatever they want. There are reporters who live for this type of administration and are more than happy to fight every single day.

I have watched 4 of those are they are all extremely good. Top tier stuff.
It's actually kind of amusing watch Trump getting progressively more irritated at how difficult this "governing thing" is.
I also get the vibe that after the luster of it being the presidency Trump wI'll be in a "bored now" started and just let staffed run shit (sounds like he struggles to maintain focus thru an entire day).
Really would be comical if he wasn't OUR president.
The BBC has the best break down of this, where they quote Miller saying
Stephen Miller told US media the court ruling was a "judicial usurpation of power" and that "the president's powers here are beyond question".
The court rejected Mr Trump's attempt to reinstate the ban on Thursday. His executive order barred citizens from seven mainly Muslim countries from entering the US. The ban caused chaos at US airports and sparked protests across the country. Several lawsuits have been filed against the ban, and a federal judge has issued a temporary nationwide block on the travel ban. Mr Trump has said he may fight the case in the courts, but could also consider issuing a new executive order.
Speaking on Fox News Sunday, Mr Miller accused the 9th US Circuit Court of Appeals, which upheld the block on Mr Trump's order, of "overreaching". He also told ABC's This Week: "We have equal branches of government in this country. The judiciary is not supreme."
And then go into how the Constitution works 101.
Under the US system of checks and balances, courts can declare laws, or acts by the president, unconstitutional.
The US government has argued that the president is best placed to make decisions about national security, and that the ban does not discriminate against Muslims. But upholding the suspension last week, the three appeals court three judges said that the government had provided "no evidence that any foreigner from the countries named in the order" had carried out a terrorist attack on US soil.
With this simple graphic, the White House could avoid these terrible quotes attacking the judicial branch.

I've watched a couple and while the Netherlands one made me laugh really badly the later ones didn't really feel all that good.

But come on this is a private club. It's not like its a personal email server or something. People are reading too much into this. Only trumps best friends are there there is no way that this would ruin Trump's vital element of surprise.
What is this with Flynn, example #205 that Trump is beholden to Russian influences? I mean, is there any doubt at this point? Can we really not just end the facade? He might as well plant a sickle and hammer on the White House lawn.
Paul Manafort. Trump praising Putin's "85% approval" and giving America other wonderful pieces of cliche Russian propaganda regularly. Rex Tillerson. Trump's only requested change in the RNC platform being too soften our defense of Ukraine (seriously, how was that not constantly talked about?) And many other things that I just don't have time to list, and now Michael Flynn. Oh, what's another coincidence at this point?
How is Flynn a real person? How are you that poorly educated and a general? I was a high school fucking history teacher and I taught 10th graders that would know that.
I know some of you don't like Oliver but he is making some really frightening points today. The segment about Trump retweeting badly digested Fox News bs ten minutes after it aired or praising Infowars are quite terrifying.
