Also, please note how today there were a lot of articles regarding a lot more important topics: https://news.vice.com/story/trump-says-us-taxpayers-might-fund-mexico-border-wall?utm_source=vicenewsfb (Border wall progress) https://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2017/01/what-donald-trump-owes-wall-street/512327/?utm_source=atlfb (Conflicts of interest) http://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2017/01/06/us/russian-hack-evidence.html?smid=fb-nytimes&smtyp=cur (Compilation of evidence in regards to Russian hacking) Even Cracked (a humour website!) points out how common a strategy this is for him, and a lot of the media is playing into his hands. http://www.cracked.com/blog/how-trump-plays-media-to-hide-big-news-stories/ It's downright scary how this stuff piles up so high you can't even start resolving an issue before the next scandal-headline.

Donald J. Trump sent shivers across the Japanese auto industry on Friday after warning Toyota on Twitter that he would impose a “big border tax” on the company if it built a new plant in Mexico. It appeared to be the first time he had taken on a foreign company for plans that did not directly involve the United States. The effects were immediate: Shares in Toyota and other carmakers fell in trading on the Tokyo Stock Exchange on Friday. And Japanese government officials hustled to respond to the rhetoric with soothing reminders of the jobs that the country’s auto manufacturers had created in the United States. “Toyota itself has tried to be a good corporate citizen in the U.S. to date,” said Yoshihide Suga, chief cabinet secretary to Prime Minister Shinzo Abe. Daily Gendai, one of Japan’s leading tabloid newspapers, declared in a front-page headline that “Trump tries to smash Toyota,” and another tabloid, Evening Fuji, hinted at a coming battle with its headline, “Trump vs. Toyota.” New York Times Fighting for the American worker. Three contractors have filed liens against President-elect Donald Trump’s showcase Washington, D.C., hotel, claiming they are owed $5 million in labor costs, according to records. The so-called mechanic’s liens were filed against the 263-room, five-star Trump International Hotel in November and December with the District of Columbia, according to records obtained by Bloomberg and The Washington Post. Trump has boasted that he completed the $212 million renovation ahead of time and under budget. A statement from the Trump Organization to the Post did not specifically address the merits of the filings, only that “nominal liens at the conclusion of construction is not uncommon as part of the close out process.” Huffington Post Lol @ "nominal"

watched the official electoral vote tally. booooo to the few democrats who kept getting up to make objections which were invalid because they weren't signed by a senator as well, thus wasting everyone's time with objections which were legally invalid. also shame on them for trying to violate the no debate clause.

The fact the blowhard didn't come out calling the whole thing a farce tells me there was some convincing evidence which forced him to throw up some strawmen, like the voting machine tampering stuff.

While I understand your point, I think it's pretty scary when shootings in the United States have become so commonplace that we say things like "Meh, just another shooting". I'm a little jaded and cynical right now, but haven't you heard and thought about a half dozen and rejected them because of your perceptions/analysis on viability? It's fine if you originally perceived people would offer arguments you would consider strong but not overwhelming others. Then you evaluate them to be weak. We had the same thing when somebody here hadn't heard the arguments against abortion on demand. Yeah, different minds different upbringings different experiences different worldviews yield different conclusions.
