Yeah, I mean, it's not even about technology, it's about the fact that the US is a western country with so many chances to educate and inform yourself. There should absolutely be no way for a racist asshole who doesn't know anything about politics or, basically, everything that a president needs, to become president and get the power to use the nuclear weapons of one of the mightiest countries in the world. I'm legitimately afraid and I can't believe how stupid the Americans (not all of them, of course, but A LOT) are.

Sure he'd get the young vote but that wasn't enough in the primaries and not enough for Brexit why would it suddenly be now. He also got destroyed by the black vote in the primary so he's simply trading one for the other. Then I also don't see why people in the centre would go for Sanders. Clinton is the centre candidate yet that was apparently not enough to win vs Trump. Why is Sanders different? It just doesn't add up to me.

Trump is by far the more entertaining choice out of the two. I'am looking forward to comedy and arts comming out of the US in the upcomming years.

The real problem is that premiums paid to retiremwnt funds have been too low for years. It's not short term volatility if Trump cuts out the trade with China. Even 20-25 years as a investment horizon for retirement funds is a stretch.

That's quite telling and says everything about this election. Two horrible choices. I mean who would want Trump as a neighbour or relative? Now he is the head of your country!

It's dumb, California would have the weight of half of the US if you did it by popular vote, because they have strong opinions there, meanwhile the results of say California would be meaningless. So even though Trump will likely end with 306, he will lose popular vote. That's fine, because it's only the one state of California where he's losing really hard. So why do you think that the vote of some people should be worth more than that of others, just because they happen to live in different states?

But to be frank, I doubt it makes much difference for Europe, maybe it's even the better choice for us. Trump doesn't worry me as Erdogan does, for example.

All he's got going for him is being an outsider and the young vote but that's it. I don't see how it'd make a difference. He had all his policies going for him and I think he would have been the democratic candidate if: 1. He started his campaign earlier. 2. Had more name recognition. 3. Would have gotten the same amount of news media coverage as Clinton (he got almost none compared to her and Trump). 4. Would have gotten a fair news media coverage (all they did was hammering on his policies as they were the most ridiculous thing ever, yet you have a clown like Trump and a liar like Hillary in the same race...somehow). 5. The democractic party didn't try to play him down with disgusting lies. Watching from outside, the sexist claims for example were completely in line with the niveau clown Trump usually stuck to during his speeches. I think quite a few protest voters voted for Trump but would have voted for Bernie in the general election. I also think a ton of left wing people, who would have voted for Bernie but didn't vote for Hillary, didn't vote at all or voted third party.

Yes if that happens it'll be bad. It hasn't happened yet. We'll need to see how it plays out to make such predictions.
