That he doesn’t’ understand that doing that is sexual assault, which is pretty much standard for Trump at this point.
I look forward to the polls later this week.

Edit: happy to undermine your post one level down, Liquid'Drone Oh, did that post sound like I was saying Sanders had a nuanced policy? I meant I would like a policy similar to Sanders but more nuanced, sorry if that didn't come through. Fair enough. If I'm abrasive, its because I have to read shit like zeo trying to start a "Hillary supporters are trying to rig polls to make it look like Trump supporters rig polls in Trump's favor" conspiracy and resist my urge to strangle something. This thread is toxic and/or stupid far too often and why I take long breaks from it to regain my faith in humanity. Meh, the only thing you can really do is to grow a thicker skin. If we all were triggered every time we heard something we think is stupidly wrong, we'd all go insane very quickly. No, I think an aggressive, angry response to conspiracy theories and general uninformed behavior is preferable to "dealing with it". "Dealing with it" is how we got to this terrible place in the election.

Well now that we've reached the end point of the hypothetical foreign policy discussion, what do you guys think about the future of the GOP? We've got Ryan cutting off support for Trump and angry Trump supporters threatening him. Since Oct. 7,11 Republican senators have withdrawn their support for Trump and more will probably follow in the next few days after Ryan's comments. Pence is still holding on to the ticket but I can't imagine he's in a good state after last night's debate. Then we've got the possibility that the Bushes were behind the release of this audio, deliberate sabotage against their own party's nominee? What's Trump going to do if he loses, and loses big? And what happens to all the voters that supported him?

The nature of racism or if racism is real is a common theme we go over time and time again. Or how political parties work. Debunking conspiracy theories.
At some point it isn’t about discussion for the people we end up calling out. It is about derailing any nuanced discussion of the issues. That if keep discussing if racism still exists on any real level, we will never get to the next topic, how to address it. At some point, enough is enough, we shouldn’t have to discuss why calling black people monkeys is racist.

Bushes weren't behind it, it does too much damage to Billy. He's been suspended by NBC and I doubt he will find a job again. His sycophantic laughter was almost worse than Trump's comments.

I'll believe it when I see it. I will also believe it when I hear people are insisting this is all a part of Trump's media brilliance.

If, in response to (real or perceived) stupidity, you are a whiny bitch, then you are a whiny bitch. There is a difference between calling people out for being stupid, possibly in an aggressive manner, and getting triggered and shitting things up in the process.
Possibly a website feedback discussion, since the limits of the whole "black people are monkeys" bit has been a contentious and relevant debate in there.

What's going to happen is voters will continue revolting until the party works better. People rightly see that Ryan and others are snakes in that they can't stand by the nominee (who's been fundraising for them) with any semblance of conviction. He and the Bushes and Romneys of the world aren't trying to sabotage the Trump campaign, they're looking out for their own futures.

I'm really skeptical of any promise of change in the Republican Party. Remember after '14 (I think?) where they came out with all this talk about having to appeal more to different demographics then didn't do any of that? That's about what I expect after this election.

Donald Trump’s campaign manager challenged House Speaker Paul Ryan on Monday not to dump her boss.
“I certainly hope Speaker Ryan keeps his word and his endorsement of Donald Trump,” Kellyanne Conway said on “CBS This Morning” -- an aspiration she delivered with a veiled threat.
“Speaker Ryan, of course, took to the stage in Wisconsin in his event and faced some boos from the crowd because those who were [there] expected to see Donald Trump," Conway added. "But we’re happy the speaker of the House has endorsed the nominee Donald Trump.”
Ryan, who will convene a call with House Republicans later Monday morning, has already discussed rescinding his lukewarm endorsement of the GOP nominee with his top advisers, though no decision has been made yet.
Ryan disinvited Trump from a campaign event in Wisconsin last weekend after a bombshell tape leaked to The Washington Post on Friday, revealing a braggadocious Trump in 2005 talking about attempting adultery and getting away with sexual assault because he’s famous.
The revelations of Trump’s extremely crude comments, caught on a video by a hot mic inside an “Access Hollywood” bus, has sparked an exodus from dozens of Republicans, many of whom have called for him to step down or pledged not to vote for him.
Conway argued that the defections show “many of them don't wanna support him and we’re gonna to take the case directly to the voters.” But she was also hopeful that Trump’s performance in Sunday’s second presidential debate would put a bandage on a damaging weekend, noting that she would welcome back the defections with open arms.
