Ironically I think the only competent people surrounding Trump in this campaign are his children. Everyone else is either crazy or dumb or both.
It doesn't help that a fair chunk of the "great people" he suggests to lead negotiations with China or work as generals don't actually like him very much.

If Stuart jolly and Lewandowski knew and did nothing this could be a thing.
Lewandowski probably be asked soon and cite his NDA

I'm willing to bet if there is a statement it's to the effect of 'that didn't happen.'

That's somehow even less convincing

But you have always made special effort to wave away the gross incompetence of Trump and the people he hires.

"Trump isn't hiring incompetent people. It's the people he hired that are hiring the lunatics."
Glowing review.

If we assume the facts in the complaint are correct, fired him months ago? Likely when it came to their attention. Or maybe after the second or third people complained about having a gun pointed at them?
And the guy resigned today, the instant the story hit the news.

Fine, how about better vetting so you don't hire a nutjob that pulls a gun on people 5 times. And when it is discovered that you might have hired a nut don't ignore it and hope the problem goes away, until the media catches hold of it and your finally forced to let him go.
You know, the basic stuff.

Hire someone who wouldn't do such a crazy thing. There are people out there believe it or not who are competent and not crazy....Trump seems to think having these qualities are optional.

It sounds like, if the allegations are true, which doesn't seem unlikely, the problem was with "Stuart Jolly" and Corey Lewandowski for not listening to the complaints. Should be no concern about DJT administration appointing justices and officials who point guns at people.

Did Donald hire that lady who posted incredibly racist things on twitter? Or did someone he hire do the hiring? Because I'm pretty sure her wonderful history on twitter is a good reason not to have hired her, alongside her continued fumbling of public comments.

Nah, all these people just appeared on Trump's payroll. We can't blame him for things that are completely beyond his control, like who works for him. Or that a large number of them have long standing histories of questionable behavior and views.
|
We've come a long way from presidential candidates being responsible for the words of their pastors to them not being responsible for the actions people in their own campaign (to the point of asking us not to consider it in our appraisal of the candidates' competence). I feel like there's a happy medium somewhere in that spectrum.
