“You want to know what this was really all about?” he asked with the bluntness of a man who, after public disgrace and a stretch in federal prison, had little left to protect. “The Nixon campaign in 1968, and the Nixon White House after that, had two enemies: the antiwar left and black people. You understand what I’m saying? We knew we couldn’t make it illegal to be either against the war or black, but by getting the public to associate the hippies with marijuana and blacks with heroin, and then criminalizing both heavily, we could disrupt those communities. We could arrest their leaders, raid their homes, break up their meetings, and vilify them night after night on the evening news. Did we know we were lying about the drugs? Of course we did.” Source

First you abuse your position in congress to hold endless hearings about the perceived Presidential front runner in an attempt to discredit her. These are wildly unpopular, but all part of your master plan to discredit your enemy. Second, you find something that she did "wrong" and digs a hard as you can during these hearings in an effort to dig up dirt on your rival. Third, you hand our finding over to the FBI, because Congress can't bring criminal charges against another member of congress or the SoS. Or anyone really. That would be cray cray. Fourth and final stage, when the FBI finds that nothing criminal was done, you WHINE about it and claim corruption. Meanwhile, you ignore the fact that you provided your rival with UNLIMITED air time and public attention while undermining your own parties credibility. And no one takes the hearing seriously, because they hate them and think they are a waste of time. We are close to the final form. The final stage. Sweet justice and self reflection.

If she gets elected they will find more ways to waste time. 10 more special committees on her emails! Then try to "symbolically" impeach her every month.

We are holding hearing with legal experts to see if a woman can be president at all. We understand the 14 amendment exists, but we need to be 100% sure this is allowed by the Constitution. We expect our finding to prove Hilary can be president. But until these are complete, the Senate will not be taking any action on her appointment, orders or bills. We need to make sure the American people are being treated with the respect they deserve.

After an awkward three days of politics, it was baseball that finally brought Cuba and the United States out from half a century of cold war deep freeze on Tuesday, as Barack Obama’s historic visit concluded with a frenzied, but friendly, sporting clash. They have been playing baseball in Cuba since 1864, but there can have been few more eagerly anticipated games than that between the Cuban national team and the US Major League Baseball side the Tampa Bay Rays. Contests between American and Cuban sides are rare enough – it wasn’t until 1999 that the Baltimore Orioles became the first MLB team to play here since the revolution – but a chance to best a Florida team in front of the first US president here since 1928 raised the excitement to fever pitch. Long queues of fans waited out the Estadio Latinoamericano, the Havana home of Cuba’s national sport, and caused a worrying crush on the way in. Yet, despite partisan roars of “Cuba, Cuba” at every opportunity, the packed crowd saved plenty of noise for the Obama family as they made their way to their seats next to the Cuban president, Raúl Castro. At one point Obama prompted an expectant roar from a crowd hoping for a walkabout as he stood up to stretch his legs and greet some of the local dignitaries seated in black leather seats just in front of the press section. TB won if anyone is wondering 4-1, damn political writers writing about sports. Separately it's really dumb the polls close at 7pm. Probably shouldn't have closed so many polling stations altogether to save money either.

Yeah it was just a personal peeve about having to google the score after reading the whole thing lol. As for the unacceptably stupid polling places plan...

With dozens of anti-government extremists facing criminal charges over their roles in the two high-profile Bundy showdowns over public lands, Republicans in Congress have rolled out proposed legislation that would diminish the authority of federal agencies to enforce federal public lands law. The bill, the Local Enforcement for Local Lands Act of 2016, was introduced last week by Oversight Committee Chairman Jason Chaffetz (R-UT) along with the rest of Utah's Republican delegation: Reps. Mia Love, Rob Bishop and Chris Stewart. It would strip officials in the Forest Service and the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) of their authority to enforce laws regulating federal land. Rather, local and state authorities would be provided with a block grant to enforce the laws instead. Speaking to Deseret News earlier this month, Chaffetz accused those federal officials of being “more Rambo and less Andy Griffith than I would like.” The GOP bill comes a little more than a month after the precarious conclusion of a tense showdown between anti-government extremists and authorities over public land use that left one extremist dead, a small Oregon town terrorized for weeks, and federal employees allegedly harassed and threatened.
