Many people are naive in this thread and think that trump is just a republican phenomenon. Alot of democrats will vote for trump if he is the nominee.
My girlfriend and I are voting for him. We are an inter racial couple who are young and college educated with generally liberal views on many social issues. I dont understand the hate on trump over other republican nominees. Hes the only republican candiate with moderate views on planned parenthood, israel/palestine conflict and many other issues. Honestly, i think many of the social issues are irrelevant as trump doesn't really care about them. He only says certain things to be accepted within the republican party.
His true emphasis is on economy, trade, borders, health care, and foreign policy. We finally get a candidate that is not backed by the special interest groups, yet people want to vote for hillary? Please look at her donors..
Why is inter-racialness relevant? What races?
It's certainly relevant when people claim trump and trump supporters are all racists or white supremacists
No one in this thread has claimed that. Only that he is to happy to accept their support.

No, we're saying that most racists and white supremacists are trump supporters.

Enjoy being marginalized by every other liberal on social issues. It's sad. You may never understand the surface-irrational hate directed at him. He's the candidate that should never be possible and he's been more resilient than any political sdvisor predicted--and that pisses people off. You're educated, you're not checking the boxes for racism, and you support Trump. Expect reactions of horror.
Before the votes are even counted Hillary is already planning to meet with an NRA fundraiser and Wall st. America will get what it deserves this election if folks are too dense to see what's right in front of them.
Both of those groups are involved with the US. The NRA isn’t going away. Same with Wall Street. If she doesn’t meet with them, they will just meet with someone else.

Who cares if they meet with someone else? Let's be clear, she's raising money from them not just meeting also.

We get into this weird area where they are supporting someone who is openly bigoted, has the support of bigoted people and hate groups like the KKK. So at some point, they are just ignoring all of that and saying "I think this would be good for me".
They are not expressly racist, just willing to side with racists so benefit themselves.

My God if what you're saying is true then America is in a much worse position than I thought. Trump is a joke, a joke that America doesn't seem to get.
I hope in November we can prove that we did get the joke, but the GOP did not.
In fairness, an awful lot of the GOP is pretty horrified by what's going on too.

Who? Trump? Gives no shits. Bernie? Not effing likely. Cruz already has NRA support, and Wall St. will always hate him. Rubio is automatically in bed with both.
Clinton and Wall St. is the only live question in all this. Wall St. supported Obama because they thought he was a pliable corporatist. They were right. Is Clinton? Who knows.
But it almost doesn't matter. If the Rs really put up Trump, then we all just have to pray to whatever God we worship that Clinton doesn't get indicted until she's already President. (Or just pray for Bernie to do smashingly well tonight.)

Don't get me wrong, i'm not defending him, personally trump is the last person i'd vote for, i just dislike the whole "oh your a racist" because you have a different opinion than me.
I think its more relevant in European politics. Say something negative about mass immigration? "racist!" Criticize Islam even though that Islam is not a race? "still racist!"
About Trump though i actually agree with you, he most likely is a racist, he has said some very questionable stuff in the past and like i said he would be the last guy i'd vote for, i think hes a joke.
My point is people accusing other's of being racist without any evidence of that because they say something you don't agree with is a huge part of the problem.
And as i agree that there is a racism problem in the US, the word racist is often used to try to shut down debates. (More so in Europe)
So if it says 8pm ET that's about when the voting is over and results will start to trickle in? Meaning it will take a couple more hours after that?
Some polls close at 7 (Georgia, I forget who else), Massachusetts and Oklahoma close at 8, etc. until Alaska closes at midnight.
Around 8 will be where it gets the most interesting since those are the two most competitive states (at least on the Democratic side) though if one of the candidates outperforms based on results from the states closing at 7 that could be telling as well.
Well, early reports are that Bill campaigning in front of a polling location made it harder/impossible to vote for hours due to security (also clearly you couldn't park near the place).

I think that only people who aren't paying attention think that this is the case. It is more accurate to state that Trump has a plan, some of which he has revealed (protectionism, immigration reform, isolationism etc), and the rest of which he's purposefully obscuring (health care in particular comes to mind).
No, I think that people who are paying attention know very well that Trump has no real plan for healthcare, and that he's improvising as he goes. The same is true for protectionism, immigration reform, and isolationism. His bombastic statements don't qualify as a plan, and he's contradicted in his public interventions the little that he has put forward on his own website.
I think Trump wants single payer. He just won't say it openly because he knows that he can't right now.
He may very well want single payer, but he has no plan to implement it.
Who cares? He's going to have make a deal with Congress anyway.
The discussion was about whether or not he had actual plans. If you were willing to concede the point (that he doesn't), you shouldn't have started by arguing the opposite.
I care whether or not candidates have plans. They show how seriously the candidate takes certain issues and what they want to do about them. It also gives the electorate a chance to make a more informed decision as to whether or not they would like to support the said candidate.
