Given the fact that at the moment more forces in Iraq are private contractors than military personel the switch to mercenaries is already happening. Having not-legitimized forces with no real responsibility running around in high grade military equipment is probably going to turn out well

The only problem is that Trump is anything but representative of "common folk" (especially as one of the most arrogant one-percenters out there). Supporters seem to connect with him more on a politically incorrect/ fuck the political establishment level, rather than him having the folksy charm that candidates like Sarah Palin attempted. Trump is pretty much the opposite of a soccer mom. Yeah Trumps shtick is a total scam. But that politically incorrect/fuck the establishment/xenophobic/racist stuff is a manifestation from a similar root. Ironically it's actually just white middle class folks falling into the same realities that marginalized people know America as always being. Nothing would bring in more stark contrast the lies Trump is peddling than Bernie's undeniably real sincerity and goals. I mean the attack recently leveled here only stood as an example that he's been fighting for working class folks his whole political life. Further backed up when Sanders talks about how his motivation isn't money, success, or power, it's a very real emotional reaction he has to seeing a weaker person taken advantage of by a stronger person, which stands in stark contrast to what sacrifices to common decency one must make to be a billionaire in the first place. Trump is not a racist though. He is getting rid of illegal immigrant. And their American families, but go on. I'm sure it's just coincidence white supremacists are coming out to support/endorse/make calls for Trump. They're probably just bad at being white supremacists... Still not racist though, he'll do this to any illegal immigrants, no discrimination there. You can be anti- illegal immigration and still be racist/ bigoted. The things he's said about Mexicans, Muslims, women, and a bunch of other groups supports the argument that he's a hateful and prejudicial man. Would you want to share specific things he said that made that support that argument for you? Sure, as he's made plenty of comments over the past months, especially in interviews... - Mexicans/ Latino immigrants are rapists and criminals and drug-smugglers - Objectifying, misogynistic comments against specific women (e.g., We shouldn't vote for Carly Fiorina because she has an ugly face, Megyn Kelly acts a certain way because she's probably on her period) and in general (e.g., using derogatory sexual language) - Banning ALL Muslims from entering the United States (including those who are American and just away on vacation); deporting most Muslims who are living in America There's a ton more too that you could Google if you want lol misogynistic? Nice buzzword. Making fun of Megyn Kelly in that she's probably on her period = hates women. Haven't you heard? Everyone who doesn't strictly tow the PC line is a racist/sexist/bigot/homophobe. We had a fun conversation about that in here last year.
I strongly dislike the false dichotomy between being absurdly politically correct and being a completely tactless asshole. Nearly everyone exists in the middle. There is a middle ground.
When Trump goes out of his way to make bigoted/ racist/ misogynistic/ douchebag comments, it's not appropriate to counter with "Well sorrrrrryyyyyy PC police!" I'm pretty sure parents are supposed to teach their kids some basic manners, like "If you don't have anything nice to say, maybe you should just shut the hell up." Apparently, Trump never got that memo. It's not like his only two options are "I value you as an individual but I respectfully disagree with your position in this case" and "Shut up, cunt."

Do you often tell women they are "On the rag" when you are in an argument?

You directly asked me for specific instances that support the argument that Trump is bigoted, I listed a whole bunch at your request, and then you decided to ignore them and instead focus on a single word ("cunt") that I used separately at a later time, to draw a parallel. I think that's pretty dodgy tbh.

In many instances Trump is just being unnecessarily vulgar. That's not the same thing as being anti-PC. Perfect example was the recent incident with Cruz.
Edit: Sweet, there is now double post detection.

It's not like his only two options are "I value you as an individual but I respectfully disagree with your position in this case" and "Shut up, cunt." This would have had a chance at being persuasive if Trump had ever said "shut up, cunt." The fact that you don't recognize the overall point and how his comments can fit just as easily into that false dichotomy of "too PC" and "purposefully incendiary" means that you're not really interested in this conversation. Why would I want to characterize something using a false dichotomy...? I'm always interested in evidence that I'm wrong, that's why I asked, but I spend most of my time on this listening to the actual source material of what people are saying, not simply going around parroting the opinion of factions who benefit themselves by playing up Trump as the most bigoted person on the planet. You directly asked me for specific instances that support the argument that Trump is bigoted, I listed a whole bunch at your request, and then you decided to ignore them and instead focus on a single word ("cunt") that I used separately at a later time, to draw a parallel. I think that's pretty dodgy tbh. I don't know that you're drawing a parallel so much as equating things which aren't the same. Was your point not that calling someone a lightweight and bimbo on Twitter is basically the same thing as saying "shut up, cunt" to their face? Is that because there isn't a smoking gun quote you can show me, you just know he's a bigot and expect your own exasperation to convince me to make the same judgment? Why did you construct a false dichotomy and then defend it, again?
Are you talking about these few instances, as follows, that I responded to on the last page already?

What people want is for common folk to regain some influence over those two groups which are undeniably conspiring to screw them over.
This is the Bernie/Trump appeal in a nutshell. - Mexicans/ Latino immigrants are rapists and criminals and drug-smugglers - Objectifying, misogynistic comments against specific women (e.g., We shouldn't vote for Carly Fiorina because she has an ugly face, Megyn Kelly acts a certain way because she's probably on her period) and in general (e.g., using derogatory sexual language) - Banning ALL Muslims from entering the United States (including those who are American and just away on vacation); deporting most Muslims who are living in America There's a ton more too that you could Google if you want That I already responded to on the previous page, as follows? + Show Spoiler +Show nested quote +On February 11 2016 10:57 DarkPlasmaBall wrote:On February 11 2016 10:42 oBlade wrote:On February 11 2016 10:19 DarkPlasmaBall wrote:On February 11 2016 10:00 ErectedZenith wrote:On February 11 2016 09:58 GreenHorizons wrote:On February 11 2016 09:55 ErectedZenith wrote:On February 11 2016 09:33 GreenHorizons wrote:On February 11 2016 09:22 DarkPlasmaBall wrote:On February 11 2016 09:10 GreenHorizons wrote: My read on the situation is that people don't want the state to control everything any more than they want corporations to.

Like when it comes to the southern border, people go as far as to describe Mexico as being in a civil war because of the power and violence of cartels. And I watched that speech live months ago. He also didn't make a comment about menstruation (you can watch and make your own judgment here), and it's not clear to me that talking smack at "specific women" as you've said makes someone sexist in any meaningful sense of the word. He also has yet to say anything about deporting Muslims, so at this point I'm getting skeptical of your credibility.

Okay. I don't get it. What's the big deal with Common Core? I've been reading through the Grade 8 standards for English, and it seems like pretty boiler plate stuff. Sure they make the same mistake of BC's old learning standards with having a hundred items in the English section (you can tell the English section was written by English majors), but one lesson can usually hit five of those learning standards anyways. Is it purely a state's rights tiff because the actual line items seem pretty innocuous.

Both Plasma and myself have just stated things Trump did and that we thing he is a garbage human. I don't hate him or anything, I'm just not wild about his existence. I feel that way about a lot of people. Sure people feel that way about me.
