Trump represents precisely what I've been saying the Republican party has been for years and people like introvert have been snidely saying I didn't know anything about. I know it's not very scientific, but I talk to people regularly who's real life stories shit all over the research. CBD remedies have little or no euphroic effect and are not used for "getting high" but absolutely work for many people treating pain, seizures, turrets, and more. But we should probably send these parents to prison because they obviously don't know that science says it's not much better than a placebo (even if it's a shitload less dangerous). Cannabis should be legal for a lot of reasons, medical applications are one of those reasons. Whether cannabis is the miracle substance some would like to think really doesn't matter other than for convincing people who are too stubborn to admit the many other reasons are more than enough to make it legal. _____________________________________________________________________________________________________ lol Fox News just lashed out at Trump We learned from a secret back channel that the Ayatollah and Putin both intend to treat Donald Trump unfairly when they meet with him if he becomes president, a nefarious source tells us that Trump has his own secret plan to replace the Cabinet with his Twitter followers to see if he should even go to those meetings Source

Seven years ago some in the local New York press called teenager Kenneth Creighton a thug. Guilty until proven innocent, Creighton was held in Rikers Island for nearly six brutal years between 2006 and 2012 — without ever being convicted of a crime. With no fanfare, no apology and no compensation for the time he lost and the troubles he survived, the charges were dropped against him and he was released. Source He did 2 years in solitary too. Gotta love the "justice" system.

For instance, in the last Iowa poll I saw, Trump's most commanding lead is among moderate and liberal republicans. That's not what you've been saying at all. Besides, casting the same incorrect analysis on Trump as you have for years on most Republicans doesn't make you right. Edit: your ignorance of conservatives, in particular, has been well documented. Predicting that someone with good poll numbers is going to win is hardly a feat.

Iowa was supposed to be the one state he doesn't win. Wtf is going on . You're not the only one, but those of us with nothing better to do than overanalyze what's been going on have seen this as a plausible outcome for some time. There are a bunch of factors in play which have brought us to where we are today.
There's a mountain more besides, and numerous details lost in simplification, but that's the jist of what's happened. It's still possible, even likely, that Trump won't secure the nomination. Cruz is still favored in Iowa by most analysts, and an establishment front-runner could emerge from New Hampshire to challenge Trump in later states. However, if Trump beats Cruz in Iowa and New Hampshire proves inconclusive for the myriad of candidates fighting over it, it's entirely possible the establishment will pull the plug, support Trump, and give Rubio 4-8 years to shape up.

The prison industrial complex is too powerful. He's black, among other reasons. Take your pick. Of course you rarely see the "freedom" folks say anything about such clear and heinous violations of certain people's constitutional rights.

The article references another teenager who went through a similar ordeal, and committed suicide after he got out. There's a very sad article in the New Yorker about it: www.newyorker.com

I don't have the ability atm to go through them, but this is surely a bait post because you know exactly what I mean. I will say that in the context of this "does Trump win the nomination?" question that he very well could, I've always said it was possible. But most people seem to know why Trump is doing well. The GOP apparatus sucks, and the voters are tired of it.

Cruz, on the other hand, scares the shit out of me because while I am more in the middle than many in this thread on some issues I do consider myself a social progressive. He strikes me as the sort of president (because he did this as a Senator) who would rather accomplish nothing in 4 years than compromise on his "values," which mainly revolve around uplifting the misunderstood white Christian man. I think the biggest risk of a Trump nomination, and as a result the chance of a Trump election, is his attitude in general. While Obama has not been a foreign policy guru, I don't really see diplomacy and Trump in the same sentence, and that could be disastrous. Beyond that, you just kind of have to hope he puts reasonably intelligent people in his cabinet and doesn't fuck it up.
