i dont know how i feel about your emphasis on brand name > all because of quality and such. I mean yes they do generally have better quality but I wouldn't buy my sneakers from D&G unless I really wanted the name on my shoes. There's a practical limit (and by that I mean if you have the money and want it there's no limit but otherwise MC=/=MB to the point where its not worth it) and while designer clothing will get you so far, most of the time its for the name and you can buy a shirt equal or better quality to a D&G shirt (also im only using that as an example) for far less.
