- KawaiiRice revealed that it was virtually certain that Deathangel was playing on Vera's account both on ladder, in showmatches etc. After all, there was no webcam view on Vera's stream when she was actually playing live, when games were played, Windows was in Romanian, Grooveshark was in Romanian and a Flash Player crash error was in Romanian too, not English/Irish. Some replays of Vera also had virtually the same hotkey usage, timings and assignment as Deathangel. - The community realises overwhelmingly that Vera was a fraud. A shitstorm commences. Vera immediately nukes all her social media realising she's been caught. - Vera originally planned to get coaching from Deathangel apparently to get from Masters to GM. Instead, she turned the conversation to him boosting her account and pretending to be her. - Vera confess although she insists that Deathangel got pretty much all the profits. - Deathangel confesses too but gives an unsympathetic response. - Both players get perma-banned from TL. | ||

This post is awesome but it also really shows the problem that this scene is having. The amount of attention given to females within the scene is absolutely insane when compared against their skill. This is not to say that they don't deserve any attention whatsoever but barring Scarlett I can't think of any woman who has the results to back up their fanbase. The saddest thing about the current state is that someone like Vera (talking about before last night's revelation) has a bigger footprint then for example DeathAngel did, even though he made the finals of de Code A qualifiers twice (I believe that's the best performance out of any foreigner when it comes to code A qualifiers) | ||

It's difficult for a Romanian player to get a big fanbase if he's not a top class player. The saddest thing is not the stratagem or Vera/Deathangel attitude, it's that this stratagem completely worked.. Taking Vera identity allowed DeathAngel to play showmatches he's not usually invited to under his real identity. All DeathAngel wanted was to play showmatches and earn a bit of money, nothing bad. But when he played exclusively female tournaments, there he really cheated. | ||

It's very hard to get at the top of this game, there's tons of players and tons of pros out there who are on the same page as you and trying their hardest to win stuff. don't go and say these girls suck. It just happens that there's not many girls that can defeat guys in a tournament, but with the popularity and with the acceptance of girls in gaming , there could be more and more. | ||
