Try logging in WoL beta. You can't No, the launcher is for HotS beta, but you obviously can't log in unless you have an invite.
And tell me. Where is your source for this? Did you download it yourself? I personally didnt because the page which it linked to was Arcade beta. I might be wrong though

It still says arcade beta on the bnet website, but everything on the actual launcher says hots, or still 2012 beta.

It's not the Arcade beta (that no longer exists). The servers are not online yet so you can't log in, but you can modify options and use the editor.

But once I get to the download client, it doesn't download anything, which is expected.

Yeah, I dled the current beta client and you can turn it on and u see a fancy HOTS log in page, but you cant actually log-in, it just says something about battlenet being down. Definitely download it though, seeing the 'Hear of the Swarm' loading screen made me almost cry.

yeah it's legit hots beta, downloading and installing now but like others have said I don't expect to be able to log in
