Also sad because JVG just keeps talking about how much of a beast McGrady used to be. Like he's not even the same person anymore, just a past entity, an empty shell on the court.

I feel like the back-to-back and impacted schedule factor shouldn't really matter because all of the candidates had to deal with it. Again, Anderson didn't really add anything to his game from last year to this year, and his performance is not really that different except for the amount of time he did it in. I just don't think he's a much improved player, he was just that great before and was being underutilized. Taking a wait and see approach with the award doesn't seem fair or in the spirit of the award either. If you hold off on the award for those guys to wait and see if they replicate their improvement next season, then they'll be penalized for not having made a dramatic "jump" during that season. The award is supposed to be given to players who made the jump for that particular season, not a player who made a jump the prior season and maintained it for the season the award is given. Your weighting your opinion of Anderson not actually improving this season, which he did. Not only did he improve, he did it consistently, throughout the entire season, some played out of their mind for a bit, and didn`t play well the rest of the season, Ersan, Lin, Peko, some played on losing basketball clubs and thus got overlooked, Munroe, Dragic, some were over shadowed by the performance of other players on their team, Bynum, Bradley. Anderson played consistently from December to April, the same cant be said for any of the other players, you could argue that the coach wasnt playing those players, but theres a reason for that, coaches are better at assessing talent than us.

About Noah: he came back out to the bench with a serious business limp, so it's doubtful he'd play again tonight.
