Funnel Melo into a double/triple team, force him to give up possession; close out on inevitable swing to Novak in the corner; ???; Profit. Knicks are pretty much screwed if no one is knocking down shots to keep the defence from focusing on Melo/Novak.

They did do a few high pick and rolls with Chandler going down and geting up shots that got fouled, he made free throws as well. Weird they didn't exploit that more rather then just throwin it to Melo and waiting for the shot clock to expire.

Kind of hard to blame them for stopping.

The Knicks can't rely on Melo going iso vs the best iso defense team in the league - that is LOADED with wing defenders. Melo has never showed the ability to score efficiently vs playoff defenses for 8 years - and it was going to change now? :/ I dont even know how you get baited into stuff like that anymore. The bulls one was only slightly less hilarious.

Miami and Chicago both would have swept the Knicks by double digits comfortably. While Chicago's offense might have stalled the Knicks would be getting no rebounds and shooting like 30% in that series.

It must really kill you inside that fans wish their favorite team to do well.
