Last year might have been their best shot at a championship, and this year their second-best. The following years you have Wade getting progressively older into his 30s, and LBJ alone can't carry a team whose role players can't make the open looks (and they get a damned lot of them). Poor guy. Maybe the Celtics will get tired or something, who knows, but even if God turns out to be a Heat fan and some miracle happens, Heat will get raped in the Finals after a 7-game series (especially if they continue to look this shaky even winning it) because even God the Gracious Almighty Himself can't help them there against OKC or SA. gg all, peace. + Show Spoiler + this is an overreaction. you're a fairly new basketball watcher and miami bandwagoner. the heat have been together two years, and have been serious contenders both years. for reference on which fans can truly say fuck my life, try the warriors http://www.grantland.com/story/_/id/7714701/how-annoy-fan-base-60-easy-steps Obviously that was an overreaction; the Heat are better off than 26 other teams this season and aren't likely to fall straight to the bottom next year or anything, though their chances aren't going to get much better. Anyway, I was just venting. The Heat's loss and probable end of their 2012 season just capped a really shitty period of time for me. I'm not entitled to whine about it everywhere like a little bitch but I was just pretty pissed, heat of the moment and all. Pun really not intended (or should I say spur of the moment)... I apologize for stinking up the thread.

Durant and Lebron's scoring numbers are a wash (Lebron contributes more elsewhere), and Harden scores as much if not more than Bosh. Wade's scoring needs to be damn high for the heat to win. As an overall reaction to the game: This is what happens to the Heat when the refs aren't leaning towards them and they aren't making otherworldly shots. Their game is heavily reliant on both. A typical possession for the Heat, with Bosh limited, ends with Wade/James barreling into someone and praying for a call or taking an off-balance jumper. I've heard a lot about flopping recently, and its a problem, but it only is because teams play like the Heat and get the calls whenever there is contact (thus the defense's only option is to take a charge). If games are gonna be called like tonight (as they probably should be) the Heat need to start hitting guarded 20+ footers like they did in the last ECF.

In what way? In the "my team is winning and I can be smug" way apparantly. Bostons D is to good for Wade and Lebron to keep making impossible drives late in the game. Its not like the Heat got thrashed or anything so I dont see why people are over reacting. The games have been close and a play or 2 either way has been the difference down the stretch. Miami has problems and those problems have always been there teams just havent been good enough to expose them till this ECF or even the last 2-3 games. But yea I have to agree Garnett gets away with murder sometimes let alone pushing limits of physical play but oh well.

Clutz, you're being a bit harsh on the Heat--they're much better than just the refs always bailing them out (despite popular opinion on the matter).

As long as Garnett plays as well as he has, it will be a mountain to climb for the Heat, they have no ways of stopping him and Rondo has been terrific past game 1. Allen found form just at the right time and Pierce is always reliable for big games. Boston has been the better team the last 4 games in a row, i think Rivers figured out Heat.
