Not sure anybody can stop them unless Westbrook/KD go godmode, or Miami's Big 3 are reunited (with Bosh fully healthy) and play out of their minds, esp LBJ beastmode, and both teams better be prepared to maintain their high level because we've seen what kind of deficits spurs can erase and turn around.

Even if Miami is healthy their role players are so bad the Spurs will have an advantage. Like it's not even Miami's bench - it's everyone not being consistent or being consistently bad ![]() Skip Bayless: Tomorrow: 10E, ESPN2, Stephen A and I debate who was more valuable, LBJ or DWade? And: Why is LeBron reading Hunger Games before games? Gotta love this guy hahaha

One can still hope though...one series at a time, I guess. Let's see how all the teams stand after a week or two before we make more firm calls, but that really is how it looks at the moment ._.

I only ask because I'm thinking about agreeing to a bet with a die-hard OKC fan and a die-hard Miami fan, and the longer I wait, the less the prize pool gets xD.

Spurs should be favoured against OKC/Lakers imo, maybe not by much against OKC but still they should be favoured. Against the eastern conference I think its a pretty safe bet that they are favoured against every team against Miami. But then again we don't really know when Bosh will be 100%, and is wade struggling with minor injury as well? Not to mention their supporting cast is beyond crap atm except one game from haslem and one game for chalmers. Conclusion: I would have taken the bet if I could afford it and its just for fun ![]()

Efficiency differential (limited sample) for SAS vs. possible opp BOS (+1.9) IND (+17.5) PHI (+13.4) MIA (-28.0) OKC (+1.2) LAL (+13) Funny thing? Without Bosh (and possibly even with) I think SAS vs MIA turns from -28 to something like +28 (+1). oh and...Stern! http://www.cbssports.com/nba/blog/eye-on-basketball/19113135 !!!!

I know a few people who have been betting for a long time, they make pretty good predictions. They both called Spurs taking this championship before the playoffs started. They actually legitimately bet through a bookie too, so it has half-time spread, full-time spread, parlay, and all that other stuff, but they still get most of them right. If you're just betting for fun with a couple friends and there's no point spread, it's safe to assume Spurs will most likely take it, but it's never 100%.

I would be surprised if Miami makes it out of the East at this point. You aren't beating the Celtics playing 2 on 5, and even if Bosh comes back I can't imagine him doing anything vs KG. As far as the West, I half expect the Spurs to steamroll OKC too. I don't know if I have ever seen a team make more extra passes. It's like Barcelona in soccer, just looks like a different game when SA is moving the ball. Spurs > Celtics 4-2 in the NBA Finals calling it. Boston > Miami 4-3. Spurs > OKC 4-2.

Sigh. It's sad that one player can dictate a franchise.

Even if Bosh comes back, he won't be fully recovered and playing 100% according to some of the best orthopedics. OKC-SAS would be tough but I think SA has the people and the system to be able to beat them, plus they are on a roll at the right time. It would be a good a bet as any for these playoffs imo. and ya I am rooting for SAS to win it all. Rather have them win it than any of the only-iso-or-screen/roll-teams. MIA been getting so much shit I actually find myself cheering for them to get to the ship but I would only want them to win if it is against OKC, not SAS.

I had heard interviews of him being open about how he dislikes the flopping rule right now in the NBA and how he wanted to look into it, and it is all making sense now.
