IDK about Destiny though, he brings in a lot of viewers (~2500) almost every time he streams, and un-featuring could MAYBE (please note this word) have minor backlash at TL.

Now for using this language, I think EG did a great job giving him a one-time, stern, warning. What EG does for lying about it, if he did, I think should be more severe. IDK, maybe he didn't think about it coming back to bite him at the time. That's fair. I just hope he didn't lie to his team about it. I wouldn't want to be in his situation either, but don't dig the hole deeper, man. You know that using racial slurs is like...the modus operandi of a racist right? If it talks like a racist it's probably a racist. Especially since it seems like non racists manage to make it through the day without using those words. I find this site very humorous and helpful. And you can submit your own questions if you're not sure! http://yoisthisracist.com/ Has anyone ever heard of the BET litmus test for racism?

OOOOh I was THAT close to answer with some >implying there ever was logic on teh intarwebz but the Fate has protect me to post such simple post. So I'll argue the following : orb (seemingly) used prohibited (reasons are not the point here) words in a private game. In public apparition it seems he never uses the power of rage or of non politically correct insults. This is what matters. Because you have the right to be what you want in your private sphere. If he is reported to Blizz, then he'll face the consequence (which shall never be the same again). I personnally don't give a damn about those words he said in a game where he raged. I do think his stream his rated M for mature (language at least) and as long as he stay "professional" on public streamage, there is no problem there. /rant

Instead, there are a bunch of posts that are like "What? Why is it bad to be racist?" and we have to have a huge debate over whether it's actually bad. It's bad. The fact that a bunch of other people do it online doesn't make it any better. You should be happy that the Starcraft community is big and broad enough to include people who have a problem with it.

This behavior is completely unacceptable in any social setting. Doesn't mean Orb is a racist, or bad person. But it does mean he is someone I don't want to associate with, and it does mean he has some personality issues to work through. People defending this as "its just ladder it happens" need to take their heads out of the sand. Rationalize your own BM how ever you want, but socially healthy people don't behave like this in any setting. And now that he is a professional, the "personal stream" defense is completely out of play. This is the real world, learn to live in it and accept consequences.

I'm sure SC2 is going to disappear as an industry. Not only the community is small, but it is so full of itself, uptight and self-righteous, it would be crazy to put any money on it. Tournament organizers and sponsors get burned constantly and must make wonders (SC2 standards for tournaments are several times higher that for any other game) just to satisfy a mere 20 000/40 000 viewers. IEM drama? Do you call anyone talking about anything drama? It was just players saying they had small hotel rooms. No drama. I'd rather have a community full of people who actually care when public figures start spewing out words like nigger and faggot while streaming to the public than a community of people who dont care at all. Plus if you think there are only 20,000 viewers you are pretty oblivious.

Exactly, these hip-hop singers use these words all the time and its SO much bigger then esports, maybe we should take a page out of their book.

If you actually read the OP, you'd notice that this wasn't a single, isolated incident where Orb was not streaming. In fact, it has been shown that he's done this while streaming as well. This was proven *after* Orb lied to both Alex Garfield and the community, saying this was the only time he'd used racial slurs. So Orb does not only do this in private, which your post implies. He also lied to EG about the incident.
