In my opinion there is no such thing as talent. Do the holy god up there, blessed be his name, allow some people to become sc2 pros by giving them the talent for it? Don't think so... You become god at something through hard work and understanding of what you're doing. Maybe Desrow will reach that point some day, maybe not.
Desrow is incredibly dedicated and is really working for his dream to come true nd that's something all people should respect. The idea that "talent" doesn't exist is a load of bullshit. Some people are honestly endowed with genes that allow them to have higher potential than others. Kid with a high IQ will always learn quicker than than a kid with a low IQ. If they work just as hard as each other, are you seriously suggesting that they will progress at the same rate? Im not saying you should just stop trying and blame your failures on not being born right. I just think that its naive to believe that were all created equal and that "as long as you just do your best you can be anything you want to be!"
Meh..he was bm a while ago, but that's like 6-7 months ago when I last heard casters talk about him in a tournament. He's also very big/fat, which is where most of the insults are coming from.

I don't why he is leaving korea it's the place to be to become a better player.

IQ isn't determined by genes there are a lot more other factors. You can practice macro, you can practice micro, you can refine your buildorders, you can improve your decision making and work on your mindset. Maybe some have to work harder than others but I don't see why you shouldn't be able to compete given the current skill level.

I'm not quite sure what desrow has done so wrong (seems like people are saying he is a bit BM) but the way people are talking about him is kind of pathetic. The SC community is better than this. If you don't like the guy, just let it go and don't say anything.

Assuming that natural talent does not exist everyone would start at the same level. We know that is not true.

A lot of people hate desrow just because of his weight which i think is wrong, he may not be the "best" but hes certaintly better than a lot of the North American grand master players. Me personaly I dont really like his attitude, but good luck to him.

This is very far from the truth. The main reason any player is better than another is a) prior experience and b) mentality. If two random people start playing Starcraft 2, and one is better, it doesn't necessarily mean that he has more 'talent' (which is such a vague term that it's essentially useless). Maybe one of them has played other RTS games before; or perhaps one of them was a chess player. Perhaps one does some sort of sport competitively that gives him the competitive mentality needed to rise above his friend. There's no 'Starcraft 2 Skill' attribute in our DNA that we're born with - it's simply a combination of everything we've learned this far. Another example: someone who has studied decision theory and game theory will probably improve at a faster rate than your average player.
A lot of people are talking about IQ, but the truth of the matter is that past an IQ of around 120 IQ stops being correlated with success. True success is a combination of factors, but primarily involves a high enough IQ (120+), an environment that allows focused practice, and the constant reach to improve your skills (once again, deliberate practice).

Just shut up and let the man play. Your negativity isn't doing anything to him obviously so your goal is not being accomplished. Also who cares if you're not trying to make a living playing video games like him. This thread is not about you. ALSO I seriously doubt any of you people bashing desRow on how he has not done anything in sc2 have done something yourself? I have never heard of any of you that are bashing desRow. If you can't beat him in 1v1 then why would you talk about his skill level yourself? If he hasn't done anything in Starcraft 2 that does not fit your needs then maybe that is why he is in Korea? Everyone has to start somewhere and desRow is a very good player, and he is only getting better. Oh hey another notorious 1 post person in a desrow topic, classic What does that have to do with it? I agree with him. What about you? You have 300 post less then me. See how that logic works? Well the thing is, desrow always has a lot of people posting in his topics with very low postcounts, like <30 and those people only post on his topics as well, so it's kind of general knowledge that these are clones. I'm not saying postcounts are important, and if you had some sense you would've gotten my point. Further more, you are affiliated with team legion so your opinion is not very objective either. I've been on the team 3 days, and haven't met desrow. Your "point' is stupid, because he's not a top level player doesn't mean he deserves the stupid, immature hate he's getting. Every NA player announced on the MLG invite list doesn't get shit on as much as desrow and he's in the same level as all of them. It's people like you who circle jerk the korean fanboyism and seem to think that having a flourishing US scene is a bad thing, and shit on players who don't win every major tournament as talent-less nobodies. Whats the point of having a amateur scene?Whats the point of people playing this game for fun? What's the point of trying to get better? At least some NA people (desrow, shadow come to mind) are trying to make something of themselves in Korea. If you don't like him don't post, or any non-top level player that is. Don't be stupid, a good amateur scene is great for eSports, some people like to see other people do good other then just Koreans.
Did you really just say that Desrow is on the same level as everyone on the NA invite list?
Really?
Your opinion is losing value rapidly.

i have proof he did played some newbi named rei, and this self-proclaim horribad and terrble player knocked desrow out of a tournament. Sub son? someone didn't do his resource before opening up mouth?

I think this is a classic case of "is it everyone or me?"
There are "haters" who will say that a player is not the best, or that he is of variable skill one way or the other, but BM is a pretty objective term.
Desrow IMO has shown enough BM tendencies and cockiness that turn a LOT of players off to him, including Sheth, as evidenced by Desrow's blog that was mentioned previously.
As someone who has been around TL since the [MediA] era, I can say that it's pretty plain when someone is overly egotistical or douchey in that the community WILL call them out on it.
Desrow in my opinion seems to exhibit a lot of those traits. I'm not the only one who feels this way, and I've watched his stream/read his posts.
Food for thought. He really needs some humility.

He doesn't stream cheat or completely yell IRL at anyone, he has tendencies to ragequit ingame and get angry at the chat. He hasn't shown much of this lately but I guess people just love haunting him with his past.

one of desrow's old war3 buddies posted something about desrow taking the prize money from his team, and there was a dispute on whether or not desrow paid up, because he didn't play a single game in that league for his team.
