i understand that that's how you look at it but i agree with andy on this one - while you may feel comfortable, this jacket is borderline feminine, especially with those lapels. and if that's your thing cool but if you're just looking for a blazer you can get an mtm canali for 1.5k lol.

Honestly I just looked around for a couple mins and pulled that out. Could I pull it off? Probavly. Would it be my first, second, or third choice to buy? Probavly not

o thats kinda silly. oh well

i need to adjust my wardrobe to my classes better

i usually only have a few hours of class before i head back to my room which doesnt usually warrant actually wearing clothes.... next semester i have 2 labs and i dont wanna be wearing my favorite stuff in a lab...

so either i use my APCs as beaters and just deal with the fact that they might get fucked before the summer when i can get a new pair or get a cheap pair of unbrandeds or gustins and use those as my beaters

im still in that stage where im afraid to beat my clothes up :[

first time posting here and a total fashion noob, but i have one questions to you guys.

i always thought buying clothes via internet is kinda risky because you should wear it before you buy it.
or do you just know it will fit? and if not do you just change size?

Most of us have measured ourselves and know what size generally we will fit in. I don't recommend buying stuff for brands that you've never worn before (mostly shoes) due to not knowing how their sizing is compared to what you already own.

Sites that give exact sizing (measurements) on their clothing are a godsend.

Have a friend measure you for more accurate results.

i do some research on websites where people have tried them on as well, so that i have a rough estimate

worst case, you send it back and exchange sizes. ive been pretty lucky with my sizing for everything though, only a few Ts ive ordered were too small

It is a bit of a risk sure but generally you're the same size in the vast majority of shops. Like I always fit a small just fine in every store.

Depends on what you're buying. Lots of places run bigger or smaller but it's pretty uniform aside from a few places. For example clarks desert boots are usually a size big, or something

not true, clothing brands run small in asia and large in western places even if they're from the same company. likewise, a designer's fitting/sizing is different from season to season.

go to a department store and ask a SA to take your measurements (shoulders, collar, pit2pit, arm length, waist, hips, inseam, rise, etc). for pants take the best fitting pair you have and measure them.
afterwards, a quick google and 5-10 minutes of reading up on other people's experiences should tell you how a brand fits. then buy online and try it on. If it doesn't work out, the worst thing that could happen is you have to pay for return shipping, but most online boutiques will offer free returns.

Yeah maybe if you're ordering from completely different continents.

But if you say go on the Asos store then if you're a small then basically every small on the site is going to fit you regardless of brand.

even domestic brands will have sizing disparities

S in asos and S in levis are different, for example. even in uniqlo, XS fits me great for some things but too small in others

regardless what Andy said is the best course of action to take. know your own measurements, compare to the measurements of the article of clothing, and look online to see if stuff normally runs big or not

I still haven't managed to find a simple, suede dinner jacket yet, and I don't dare ordering online because the size problems you guys are discussing.

i dont think they have macys in germany...

i also don't think they'd have suede dinner jackets lol.

unfortunately for something as specific as that (why suede and not just wool anyway) you're gonna have to order online. most places have free exchanges, especially for something that expensive. do some brand research !

what do i want to put on my secret santa wish list...

under $50 (technically limit is $60 though)

i want an outlier beanie but it's $65. norse beanies are around $45 but that's + shipping and i don't know how I feel about the label

worst case i'll ask for some everlane T's and uniqlo stuff (heattech socks... fleece, Ts, ocbd) or something.

I may be lucky but I've never gotten hit by custom fees.
Maybe norse projects just sucks, several of my acne & our legacy orders have slipped through without even being checked apparently.
